In the novel, Gabriel and Bale's duel is much shorter. They briefly clash with scythe and sword, then the Blood Raven knocks it aside and breaks Bale's leg with a kick. After another few swings or so, Gabriel knocks the scythe out of the Chaos Lord's hands and stabs him.

And fittingly enough, he DOES yell "SINDRI!" as his final words.

I also like the fact that while the completely ineffective marines were firing at each other, Bale was apparently evenly matched. But without the minor distraction of bolter rounds flying past their unarmoured heads, Angelos becomes a monster in close combat. Let's face it, while a great feat of storytelling, the cutscenes in Dawn of War really did suck graphically. Especially compared to the epic intros the actual games had.

They are not mentioned after they go with him

Not anyone. I don't think you'd be able to corrupt Eldar that easy.

For one, Eldar have mastered their emotions. Trying to corrupt is like trying to corrupt a Grey Knight, and they're more than likely to kill you if you tried.

Eldar HAVE to be masters over their emotions for the simple reason.. they're 100x more powerful psychically than human's. Read their info, they're like glowing bright beacons in the Warp (their souls) compared to human's who are dim lights.

I liked Sindri better when he wasn't a Daemon Prince. Abaddon the despoiler could easily ascend to a Daemon Prince if he wanted but he's not interested in being a Daemon Prince which is a very interesting contrast to the other Leaders such as the Iron Warriors Primarch.
