I think Nancy is an outwardly strong character, but at her heart is really a scared young girl fighting for safety and security - which is why she stays with Bill, she thinks he will protect her from the streets, and that she won't find any one else. So, in all the other songs she is assertive, strong and sassy, but ALAHNM, to me, is the one time she lets her guard down and reveals that fragile edge that makes her such a tragic and beautiful character

I watched this week after week to see Jessie. The others were good in various ways - Jodie, Sam & Rachel for example were all fine performers in their styles. But for me only Jessie gets under your skin. Raw talent does that.
