How is there even one dislike? Someone obviously is NOT wanted. *sigh* This is the kind of thing I think everyone is looking for in life. Someone that genuinely wants them in no uncertain terms.
This is such a wonderful scene. How could anyone help falling in love with a man who brings you flours and who so earnestly and honestly says that he wants you?
This movie was so adorable and this scene is my very favorite scene in this movie.... probably the most sweet and romantic lines in any live-action movie.
Actually, that is one of the most original gifts that he could give to her. I never understood why she did not like them. I would be happy to accept it - it is actually a pretty cute gift and it is handy, too! I am always run of flours.
"Auditor/Audity protocol, yes, but i don't care"/ "Why?"/ "Because i want you". UGH! I love that line so much, and he said it with such sincerity, it just made this scene for me lol.
it wasn't until the 17th time that i saw this movie that i realized that he brought her "flours" .....haha, i thought he had flower bulbs in the bags .....:D
There's not much in this world quite as adorable as a guy who has trouble expressing himself trying very hard to express himself anyway. It's so genuine. A bouquet of flours, come on! Who could say no to that? (not me, that's for sure) This scene has stuck with me ever since I saw this years ago. So perfect.
The brilliance of bringing her "flours" is quite possibly the biggest reason this is my favorite movie of all time. PS- The line Auditor/Audity protocol should actually be Auditor/Auditee.
This movie is so giant and it does not get the credit it deserves.
It's funny how we watch a story about a guy that is in a story and dies in the end and we want him to live his life to the fullest. But people seem to forget that we are living out a story where we always die in the end and they don't really care about living life with purpose.
It is, inequivocably, the greatest and most underrated drama of all time. Everyone changes. Everyone becomes a better person. Penny asks for more time and softens herself. Ana becomes less radical, and open to harold. Harold's change is obvious. Karen becomes a sympathetic person. There is no better film.
I know I'm late getting on board, but I just saw this movie for the first time last night and fell in love with it. It's nothing like I imagined. Ferrell is uber adorable in this and it's very artsy with the camera and the music. This goes into my top 20 def.
really funny though, he said to make a comedy role funny you have to act serious in that too! The guy is so unrated in everything he does. Some people can't get passed the ''he's just stupid''. Andy Kaufman was another example of that, very sad! 100% talent!
If i meet a girl that moves me like that I'd definitely bring her flours, flowers and MOONS sparkled with flours and flowers!! ......so I'm gonna start learning how to play guitar like him right now!!
@cassony0987 lol whats funny about this scene is, well i'm brazilian, and at the movie theather you could tell exactly who could understand English by the synchronized "awwws" coming from the audience. It's just so cute ^^
I kind of want a guy to give me flours

some disturbed people are so weirdly, smartly passionate and uncontrolably trueful!
I want of of this sort!
And if he brings me bread it will be a marriage proposal probably!
hihihihihi!
Cheers!
BTW, Mr. Ferrel is a very good actor. He can deliver laughs and sorrows.

"flours" ? isnt it "flowers" ? in french version its translate by "fleurs" which means "flowers" ! "flowers flour", the best quality flour
anyway i love this movie !
moutonhargneux 3 years ago
well, that's exactly what I think it's so cool about this scene... he would give her flowers, but as she's a baker he gave her FLOURS... it's cute...

They're not flowers like the plants.
They're different kinds of flour, like you use for baking. That's the joke.

@moutonhargneux He didn't bring her "flowers" he brought her "flours". French has nothing to do with it.
