Everyone who knows the PC/game consoles technology will say the PS3 is better. In the E3 2005, Sony gave all the details about the PS3 with plans and real time demos and Microsoft? Nothing, all the did is talking about the games and showed non-in-game trailers, the "next gen essentials" like 16/9, 720p image and anri-aliasing but they never talked about the hardware of the 360 because they knew their console was a piece of shit.
I forgot... Microsoft and their 'Next-Gen Essentials' prove they can't follow the console gaming technology. Exemple - Halo 3, 640p, no AA but has 16/9 at last.
Please everybody, boycott Microsoft for the game consoles and take Sony's consoles.

MSG4 isn't 50GB in core data - that's just rumors and complete bogus, everyone knows that. Crysis consumed 10-11GB of fully installed data with hopelessly data-hungry features, yet MSG4 would consume four-five times as much data on lower technical standards - just no.
And even the face behind MSG has said the game would be possible to port to the Xbox 360 without any quality decreases - this ofcourse after he left Sony.
Ofcourse you can delete it when you want - anything else wouldn't make any sense. And if it were only 4GB of installed data that alone speaks for 50GB on-disc data being completeley false as Haze even consumes 5GB installed data since the core data volume on the disc exceeds the threshold of which the bandwith the reader can comprehend alone.
Just those two things alone doesn't speak for a failure. PlayStation 3 owners have admitted MSG4 was a slow and malplaced experience - but that mean that is objective facts everyone shares? Lol. No.

MGS4 was not a disappointment. It was an epic end to the series innovating in almost every aspect. The game won VGA Best Graphic Awards and PS3 Game of the Year on the most important game sites.
SO MGS4 was better accepted by its fans than Gears of War 2. It IS a better game.
Nobody was disapointed by Gears of War 2 itself, only its lack of networking reliability.

Its true that except japan we didnt get a lot of MGS advertisemnets, but a lot of people look at reviews on internet or in magazines, so its not really important to show 'em on tv.
That doesn't really make any point. Applying any sort of marketing of a product is critical to getting a good release - but it isn't a requirement for getting a good general sale.
Halo 2 and Halo 3 has alot of advertisements becuase Microsoft knew the money would be returned by release. Same with Gears of War 2.
Gears of War started as a tech-demo for Unreal 3 in 2005, that's where they got the attention - not by any marketing campaigns, that aired first with the second game.
When i only had an Xbox 360, i thought that the PS3 sucked, because it had no games and because the online was free i automatically asumed that it was shit and laggy.
But when i did get a PS3, it all changed, the line up of games this year and next are amazing and the online, well... Its much better than xbox live.

360 doesn't have any must-have unless you are obsessed with war. All you see is gow, halo, shooters. You have one of them and you have them all with a different name slapped on. They don't have overloads of the smae genre of game. AND shooters are the most boring genre of games ever. They don't require skill, just hit and running.

Hey buddy, even if the ps3 has more SP's there not the most efficient processors at gaming in the end. 360 has 3 cores dedicated, PS3 has 8 sp's which each SP has to be dedicated to a certain task, basically PS3 is like a server, good at calculating math at precision which the 360 has processors dedicated to a multiple amount of tasks which is why the 360 excels.How many processors mean nothing but how effective the processors are at doing a certain task which why 360 turns to be the winner.
incorrect SPE's handle tasks in paralell while cores are single instructions through each 1 at any given time by the way 360 uses only 2 of its core for games while PS3 uses 6 of its SPE's for games.

Yeah this is actually true. There was recently an argument against a major game site (I forget which one) for it being slightly biased to the 360 in these comparison videos. They tried to make both versions look similar but they don't put the full power into the ps3 version. This makes it look like the ps3 version sucks ass compared to the 360 ones. An example would be the Cattlefield 3 comparrison vids. In actual fact, I think the ps3 version looks better (Me n my bro have both versions).

eh, the ps3 always looks washed out not because of the rgb full but because of them not properly calibrating the colour and brightness settings. unless you are using a monitor or a tv with an option for full or limited, using full will only crush blacks making dark things really hard to see.
if your tv is on limited and your ps3 is on full then it will read anything below 16, which is supposed to be grey, as black, and vice versa for white.
if your tv is on full but ps3 = limited then it will take black = 16 and make it grey so no black colours will appear.
your tv and ps3 must be on both full OR limited. Most tvs use limited unless they have a different setting. I know that sony tvs do have that setting.
try out a callibration dvd and see if full makes greys too dark. If that is the case, keep limited and change brightness settings, or switch tv settings to full if available.

ive noticed its a lot easier to see the difference on the multi-platform games since the exclusive ones were aready optimized for the ps3 and the multi-platform games were made the same for both.

Everyone who knows the PC/game consoles technology will say the PS3 is better. In the E3 2005, Sony gave all the details about the PS3 with plans and real time demos and Microsoft? Nothing, all the did is talking about the games and showed non-in-game trailers, the "next gen essentials" like 16/9, 720p image and anri-aliasing but they never talked about the hardware of the 360 because they knew their console was a piece of shit.

MSG4 doesn't have all that top-notch graphics, technicly. It's a polished art-style, not a technicly advanced engine.
All I have to say is Gears of War 2 - that surpasses the technical platform MSG4 builds upon with margin. Like it or not.
And as for models and facial details even Source surpasses MSG4.
So MSG4 is NOT a technical masterpiece, which it has never been given credit for - but a polished game with other qualities.

MSG4 isn't 50GB in core data - that's just rumors and complete bogus, everyone knows that. Crysis consumed 10-11GB of fully installed data with hopelessly data-hungry features, yet MSG4 would consume four-five times as much data on lower technical standards - just no.
And even the face behind MSG has said the game would be possible to port to the Xbox 360 without any quality decreases - this ofcourse after he left Sony.

PlayStation 3 "game of the year" doesn't mean anything. It's always on public demand - and it's all different according to where you look.
Xbox 360's game of the year was GTA4, with more - there's no single "game of the year" award which makes the status useless.
Failure rate is not relevant. New units has all components changed and still offers 3-year warranty.

We all know Xbox 360 fanboys were disappointed by Gears of War 2 and think the first game is way better.
MGS4 was not a disappointment. It was an epic end to the series innovating in almost every aspect. The game won VGA Best Graphic Awards and PS3 Game of the Year on the most important game sites.
SO MGS4 was better accepted by its fans than Gears of War 2. It IS a better game.

The only thing I've seen MSG4 get rewarded by around here was for its Audio - the rest as of Gameplay is often second to LBP and well down 5th-6th place on Visuals since the technology is nothing out of the ordinary.

Little Big Planet is basicly a buffed up Arcade game. Hell, I'm almost sure Braid sold more than Little Big Planet, and that saying quite alot.
I don't need to own a PlayStation 3 to see its obvious flaws. It's about value. Sony packs zero value with the PlayStation 3 unless you're a movie nut buying legal movies on optical discs.

No, I never played Gears of War 2, however, I did play Gears of War and it sucked ass. The game is boring! I played all MGS 1, never played 2 and 3 because I missed out on that gaming era. That doesn't really make any point. Applying any sort of marketing of a product is critical to getting a good release - but it isn't a requirement for getting a good general sale.
Halo 2 and Halo 3 has alot of advertisements becuase Microsoft knew the money would be returned by release. Same with Gears of War 2.
Gears of War started as a tech-demo for Unreal 3 in 2005, that's where they got the attention - not by any marketing campaigns, that aired first with the second game.

When i only had an Xbox 360, i thought that the PS3 sucked, because it had no games and because the online was free i automatically asumed that it was shit and laggy.
But when i did get a PS3, it all changed, the line up of games this year and next are amazing and the online, well... Its much better than xbox live.

While Wii and PS3 have must-have titles. Platforming you have Mario Galaxy and LBP. shooters you have conduit and resistance. Adventure you have Zelda and Ratchet. Hey buddy, even if the ps3 has more SP's there not the most efficient processors at gaming in the end. 360 has 3 cores dedicated, PS3 has 8 sp's which each SP has to be dedicated to a certain task, basically PS3 is like a server, good at calculating math at precision which the 360 has processors dedicated to a multiple amount of tasks which is why the 360 excels.How many processors mean nothing but how effective the processors are at doing a certain task which why 360 turns to be the winner.

They tried to make both versions look similar but they don't put the full power into the ps3 version. This makes it look like the ps3 version sucks ass compared to the 360 ones. An example would be the Cattlefield 3 comparrison vids. In actual fact, I think the ps3 version looks better (Me n my bro have both versions).

eh, the ps3 always looks washed out not because of the rgb full but because of them not properly calibrating the colour and brightness settings. unless you are using a monitor or a tv with an option for full or limited, using full will only crush blacks making dark things really hard to see.
Rgb full - black = 0 white = 255
'limited' - black =16 white = 235

if your tv is on limited and your ps3 is on full then it will read anything below 16, which is supposed to be grey, as black, and vice versa for white.
if your tv is on full but ps3 = limited then it will take black = 16 and make it grey so no black colours will appear.

your tv and ps3 must be on both full OR limited. Most tvs use limited unless they have a different setting. I know that sony tvs do have that setting.
try out a callibration dvd and see if full makes greys too dark. If that is the case, keep limited and change brightness settings, or switch tv settings to full if available.

ive noticed its a lot easier to see the difference on the multi-platform games since the exclusive ones were aready optimized for the ps3 and the multi-platform games were made the same for both.

it's always been the same, multi-platform games are always made for the weakest console so that a straight port would work on the stronger console, but that's not the way to see the real power of the stronger one.. you see ?

yh , the reason the ps3 dusn't look tht much better on most games atm is bedause they are ported from the 360 and therefore only use a certain amount of the cores/power of the cell cpu whereas some exlusives like metal gear solid 4 are much much better than anything on the 360

Meh, doesn't matter which system you own. Your still playing the same game right? Even if graphics were as pretty as the other one, or you could see more then the other one, you still put in the same amount of concentration on the game anyways.
