  • There is only two kinds of music!

    Great music

    and

    the rest

this is great! (and im more of a dubstep person!)

  • just wait til there's a reality show based on Beethoven....most of us will be tuning in to RERUNS of a 90 yr old Betty White on TVLand

  • amazing!:D

  • I feel like a sir listening to this. Quite delightfull indeed!

  • SI NO PELEEN Y ENCUCHEN MAS

  • Are people actually arguing?

Listen to the beautiful symphony. Isn't that why you came here?

  • A masterpiece heritage for humanity. Absolutely pleasing !!!

  • JB opened 30 new youtube accounts in order to dislike this!

Lets kill him for the honor of music people!

  • @sSector5 STFU -.-"

  • @pinky4156 you fucking terrorist

    Arab Idol!!!

  • @sSector5 Fuck Off !! What Is Wrong With Arab Idol ?! Is It Hunting You At Night Wanting To Kill You ? xD , Bitch -.-"

  • @pinky4156 yeah, it seems so because you are ugly as hell dude, stop being a shemale

  • @sSector5 Oh Really !! You Never Saw Me So Shut You Mouth Bro :P Shemale Ha xD Go Understand What Does It Mean Then Talk To Me =D

  • @pinky4156 jack off dude

  • This is great music.I like how it's not as hard as you would think when you play.Though, the 16th notes should be played with "military precision"

    Long live Beethoven! (Figuratively...)

  • Sorry if I enterupted everyone's classic time but I need to know where I can get the dun dun dun dunnnn thing. The one that sounds like a scary piano thunderstorm.

  • @LhubBerry I think you might be talking about his 5th symphony. Thats what dun dun dun duuuuuuun usually means.

  • Beethoven Has Opened My Mind, He Helps Me With My Music.

  • Why do people give a shit about age? If you're young and you like classical music then good for you, but there is no need to freaking announce such things as though it's unheard of. Also, just because you like classical music doesn't make you any more intelligent than another who loves pop for instance - to each their own.

  • @JustinIlluZn maybe not. but it shows that your more inteligent than the rest cause you dont listen to justin gaylord XD

  • @TheEwa000

People can be smart and listen to pop shit. Good taste in music isn't what makes people smart. I'm smart, I listen to post hardcore, metal-core, rap-core, pop-punk, rock, alternative rock, etc. AND I listen to beethoven. Lots of people who like classical music or pop would say that rock and metal and that stuff is bad music for stupid people. But I'm smart, I have friend who like beiber and are smart. Intelligence is based on facts and theorys & ideas. "Good music" is purely opinion.

  • @fascistbitch

    >"I'm smart"

    >"friend who like ... and are smart"

    >"theorys"

I think peoples' perspectives of smart are purely opinionated.

  • @MrBoneylad

I know I'm smart because I'm good at science, math, literature, and history. Intellectually speaking that is the definition of smart, not just a perspective. There's "street smart" and that stuff but that's not the original and official definition of smart. Smart people come up with smart theory's because they make sense, are based on legit research, and have been and can be tested and challenged.

  • @fascistbitch It'd be nice if you used your apostrophes correctly though

  • @MrBoneylad

    >greentexting on youtube

  • @JustinIlluZn I agree it's also all just music. What you like that go ahead, people have their own likes and dislikes meaning PEOPLE!! DON'T JUDGE OTHER PEOPLE'S TASTE. (thank you) :)

  • @JustinIlluZn thanks god someone's finally said this

  • @JustinIlluZn although i understand ur point about calling people out, those that listen to pop and hip-hop are just products of a highly impersonal mechanized society. in my humble opinion they are not to be taken seriously because they are just people that don't know any better and listen to whatever gets promoted. worthless shit in more modern terms

  • @JustinIlluZn Slight correction: In many places in the US, young folks listening to classical music to any great degree IS quite rare. That's why it's best to encourage it whenever possible, instead of slapping them down.

  • @JustinIlluZn Well said.

  • @JustinIlluZn improper words

  • not bad for 1st attempt

  • im 12 and i loved beatoven and elvis and beatels since i was 7

  • @jollyranchers43 What is a "beat oven"?

  • Comment removed

  • @jollyranchers43 (facepalm) seriously dude? you have got to be kidding me -_-

  • @supemcpc oh that's nice. I've been cello prodigy since I was 6. Unlike you, I understand beethoven's music. I'm sure you just listen and find it exciting and consider this music to "rock". Honestly, you came out as arrogant and childish.

  • r these baroque?

  • I have only been listening to classical music like this seriously for about week now. I don't think I will ever go back to modern popular music. This is just too amazing!

  • whats with all the hate here???

    JUST ENJOY THE MUSIC!

  • I'm 17 as well but I hear things like beethoven's 3rd symphony. I think I'm going crazy

    :(

Stupid orchestra class making me crazy.

  • @Hobitman62 why? im 15 and i love classical music, but there is a diffrence between that and being anti-social. i havee lots of freinds and a girlfreind(niether my freind nor my girlfreind are nerds) i do lots of fucked up shit and i love my life.

i hate the music that my freinds hear but so what they dont have what takes...so what just listen to this.

an advice i give to everybody here is don't get stuck just listening classical music.

try a guy named elliott smith for a chage; )

  • Arrogance such as Dan178000 has become quite common. Start writing Danny Boy! The world awaits!

  • Beethoven’s symphonies cannot be analyzed without taking into account the whole creation of the great composer and of his predecessors. If Haydn's or Mozart's music, and especially their symphonies, were composed to be more entertaining than profound, Beethoven gets us involved through everything he expresses, compelling us to take a stand. in fact we have the immense interest he still stirs, over 200 years after composing his first symphony and the numerous representations and concerts

  • @Dan178000 even so it was amazing that he could creat so many things like this while he was deaf

  • @Dan178000 Well, get started.

  • @Dan178000 - Quite a claim. Proof, or GTFO :). And if you can't play instruments, then why don't you make a video describing what exactly would your piece consist of... (ex: It starts with voices, da da da... then the bassoons come in, then the violins, then the trumpets above all the rest.... etc.) Do something like that, and maybe then your claims would be taken seriously. Also, fundamental tune?? You're kidding, right? Today it's fundamental tunes... here, it's actually quite diverse.

  • @oodjee Woa man, calm down. Im not sure if he plays an instrument, but I dont think he knows how hard it is to play this. The tune just sounds really simple not really complicated. Thats what he is saying. And he probally knows that if he actually tried to make an EPIC(!) piece of music with a full symphony it wouldnt go very well. He also probably didnt know he was deaf either.

Geez, some people dont think outside of their own little box.

  • @Astreification - It's good of you to stand up for him. I see where you're coming from, I just disagree where you said that he knows that if he tried to make an EPIC piece it wouldn't go very well. He said he's 17 and it's easy, kind of implying he could do the same thing. I was calm, and it's not that I was speaking against his pretentiousness as much as his attempt to diminish Beethoven's greatness. I don't care about the former, but I do defend those I admire and respect.

  • @oodjee Ah ok. Im cool with that. To me it just seemed you were getting all butthurt. He probally is one of those band students who think they can do everything related to music. So hes high on his horse and thinks that way.

Now I understand what you mean. :)

  • @Dan178000 the reason you hear 'crap like this' in your head is because geniuses (such as Beethoven) provided you with it, chances are you're probably regurgitating other 'fancy fundamental tunes' and believing they're your own, not too mention there's quite a significant difference between hearing something in your head and being able to create it..

  • @Dan178000

So I expect Danny Boy to revolutionize music soon. I expect you to be a big name in a few months.

  • he looks like jake harper ^^

  • 5 is my favourite, but I like this one too

  • EL MAESTRO UNICO SIN IGUAL PERFEC MUSIC :D

  • who is doing hw while listening 2 this? like if u r

  • @TheGamer4569 what is hw sir

  • @TheGamer4569 hw?

  • Sehr Gut!!!

  • no no9 is my favourite

  • beethoven is 1 of the many classical greats my favorite is the 5th symphony though

  • @HellzNigga101 No 5 is also my Favorite

  • I have the 100 greatest symphonys of all time on CD and blast it on my Corvette when I am on a red light, people looks are PRICELESS.

  • now 30 people are deaf, and musicaly dumb

  • @87mmm not deaf just tone deaf.

  • Beautiful...

  • People say you have to wait for his 3rd symphony to hear the real Beethoven. Maybe it's just me, but I hear him right away in this one and it sounds fantastic!

  • ahora puedo morir en paz =D

  • fun fact - beethoven wrote this four years before he experienced any hearing loss.

  • even though Beethoven is really Deaf

still he could compose awesome Shit

Like this...bad thing he died :(

    B-| i salute

  • I"m playing this in our youth symphony right now. Really fun music to play! fantastic composition Beehtoven!

  • damn it...im on the beautiful side of youtube again.

  • How could 29 people dislike this???? This is sheer brilliance!!

  • koji kondo is amazing as well at classical arrangements.

  • beethoven is the NO. 1 MASTER OF SYNPHONIC JAZZ i salute him

  • Every beethoven video is a press on the like button

  • 29 people are deaf, but not Beethoven deaf.

  • @StAndAl0neCompl3x beethoven was deaf?

  • @superfan7100 Yeah, lol. Unbelievable huh? Story goes he used to saw the legs off his piano so that he could press his ear to the ground to hear the vibration.

  • @superfan7100 He wasn't deaf for whole his life. He was already a professional musician when he slowly began to lose his ability to hear. He could still continue composing music after becoming completely deaf because as an extremely experienced genius musician he could hear the melodies inside his head. It's not unusual that professional musicians can think melodies note by note inisde their heads.

  • @StAndAl0neCompl3x who give a flying fuck if they don't like it fuck em there's no point in ur retarded comment.

  • @chillxX33 Hey, I've got an idea: eat shit.

  • I've played this and it's not easy to play, but then again i'm only grade 5 Violin.

  • Comment removed

  • respect from algeria (north africa)

  • 28 donkeys press dislike

  • *Shostakovich. My mistake. =[

  • Of the "B" composers, Beethoven beats Bach any day. Right now, though, I'm stuck on an "S." Shastakovitch. More modern but just as genius.

  • Grande maestro !!! Nos enseña que la aveces la musica es la unica forma de escapar de la puta realidad !!

  • I would say that 28 people are deaf, but that would be an insult to the great Beethoven who despite being deaf composed such beautiful masterpieces that mere mortals cannot even fathom composing given every single of of their senses.

  • i use this as studying music am i mental? i have exams in less than 24 hours and this is how i study

  • OMG. I'm 13 and I love this. My art teacher has my class listen to this in art. Thank you Mrs. Robertson(:

  • Have to study this piece in music AS, so glad that it is this piece as opposed to a boring one! Lovely piece of music.

  • LUDWIG VAN BEETHOVEN (1770-1827)

but we still listening to you... !

  • Comment removed

  • i have this on vinyl conducted by bruno walter

  • i can just get lost in his music, it is truly beautiful

  • @VeridianCity I think you need to re-read his sentence carefully (same goes for the 8 thumbs up). The "shit" that was being referred to in the original message was intended for modern music, not Beethoven's 6th. Alas, let us all just enjoy this please.

  • I love you young guys, you are the garantee that this wonderful music will be here forever...

  • Man for some reason in high school I hated Classical music now that I'm 24 I enjoy it wish i had when I was younger.

  • 27 people are deaf....

  • @barkinulusoy129 no they aren't deaf they just don't know what real music is about they think a guy singing about how many Hoes he has is music or some guy screaming at the top of his lungs is music i like modern rock but how can you not appreciate the classic stuff.

  • @barkinulusoy129 so is the guy that wrote it :')

  • @barkinulusoy129 ...28

  • @barkinulusoy129 So was Beethoven....

  • @karljobst Not when he composed this one.

  • @karljobst but Beethoven was only one who really heard

  • @karljobst But not when he composed it

  • @karljobst ... not always!

  • @karljobst I think that was the joke...

  • @karljobst that pwn was epic

  • @barkinulusoy129 and one of them was beethoven

    BU DUM CHIII

  • @barkinulusoy129 no theyre probably composers

  • Comment removed

  • @barkinulusoy129 you do realize the irony of that comment on a beethoven video?

  • @kexzi123 If you are going to go there I'd like to point out that:

    you misused the term 'irony'

and that also at this point he could still hear just fine..........

  • @ErkKnuckle Well, sir, it seems pretty ironic to me, but English is not my native language so perhaps I'm mistaken.

I'm tempted to correct your grammar in spite, but I'll refrain from doing so.

But I have to point out that Moonlight Sonata was composed around the summer of 1801, that being the year Beethoven's (alleged) syphilis-related hearing problems had developed to the point of impairing his hearing almost completely, characterizing in a loud, constant "roar" and later on making him deaf.

  • @kexzi123 I though his hearing problems developed from otosclerosis, that caused abnormal growth of bone near the middle ear. But I personally think its amazing that a man who had so much talent created something so beautiful, only to continue to create even more beautiful music despite a disability that would leave even the best unable to continue their work. that's personally what I attribute him being the best composer of all time.

  • @gb6710 He's one of many, albeit rare compared to our population, examples of what humanity is truly capable of. He serves as a shining example to any and all musicians of today and the future and also to anyone aspiring to anything, really. If music can come from a deaf man, there are really very few obstacles that cannot be overcome if determination, passion and will are present.

  • @kexzi123 And probably the second best piano player of all time, behind Mozart.

  • @barkinulusoy129

    28......

  • @barkinulusoy129 27 are deaf, what's wrong with you? L. V. Beethoven was deaf too when he composed his 9th symphony. So 27 people are ignorants. Sorry for my poor english.

  • @barkinulusoy129 no 30

  • so beautiful music! takes me into another world...

  • what the hells a movement?????????????????

  • @parka715 A movement is just a section of the entire Symphony. It's pretty much "Part 1"

  • I am wriing a report on events that happened on my birthday. April 2nd. This happens to be the date when this was first premiered. Listening to this whle i write my essay is the most peaceful things i have done in a while.

  • I play these all the time. Especially when studying biology.

  • i play these classical songs while studying my trigonometry

  • That's really not funny. Try transfering matter the old fashion way.

  • Hello world. I am a young student and I need music to prepare for a test. It helps me focus. A friend advised me to classical music. I listened to the 7 symphony of Beethoven and my heart was inflamed. My quertion to you is if somebody can give me other symphony, other classical music helps to relax and focus on the study. I will be very grateful. Thank's

  • @freakyShakaron Beethoven's 6th symphony

  • @kleban10 oh . it's beautiful thank you with all my heart

  • @freakyShakaron The Planets by Gustav Holst. Hands down the most intense yet relaxing collection of compositions I've ever listened to. Bloody fantastic.

  • @freakyShakaron

    Skrillex..

  • @freakyShakaron The composer I most adore is Johann Sebastian Bach, most all of his music is excellent, especially his keyboard works performed by Glenn Gould. Try the Goldberg Variations. And my favorite Beethoven Symphony is his Eighth. But definately give Bach a chance. It may be a little tiresome at first but after you listen to it several times it will be your favorite.

  • if you are a fan of Beethoven then listen to this

    /watch?v=F21aifX0lZY&ob=av2e

plz thumbs up so every body can see :)

  • @xEXACUTNRx That`s the most noisy thing, which i can`t even name "sound", i have ever heard! Almost killed me...

  • @AdriaFloriDeSoc awww i'm sorry i never meant to hurt anyone

  • Comment removed

  • @xEXACUTNRx yay i got 3 thumbs up

  • @xEXACUTNRx ok, fuck you

  • I'm actually listening to this in Ancient Greece.

  • Im a muse fan but i still enjoy classical music a lot! an play piano... whats wrong with enjoying both classical and 'whatever genre muse fit in - be it rock, alternative rock, etc..'

  • I had a shirt like the one in the 1st picture. My mother bought it for me and made me wear it to school. Got beat up every time. But my Mother said I had to wear it anyway cause she paid good money for it.So when I got to school i'd run to the bathroom and take it off and just wear my sweater. But the sweater was made of synthetidc material so I got bad rashes. That was 10 years ago. I'm in jail now for hijacking a Port Authority bus cause I wanted to go to Panama where the UFO's were gonna land

  • Despues de mas de 200 años esta musica sigue siendo sorprendente. esta sinfonia en particular evoca en mi admiracion ante el nuevo genio que en esa epoca mostraba sus primeros frutos.

  • XD dang he got you XD i was about to say that

  • this guy was a jenious

  • @MIZZMARQUEZ559 you obviously aren't because you can't spell Genius

  • @MIZZMARQUEZ559 and you arent cause you cant even spell Genius

  • Gotta play this for my playing test on Monday.. I play the cello btw

  • Great, so now i have to go and find what TheNocturnalKittyCat said

  • @XXXkisssssXXX You don't need to, you can guess what he/she said by the replies, and IMO that ought to be "Thumbs up if you're listening to this in 2011.", or something in that context.

  • @201shredder This 'shit' inspired the evolution of what you currently call music. Show some respect for your betters, unless you can compose a symphony better than this? No? Then hush.

  • @VeridianCity i can respect that in fact id rather listen to him than most modern shit

  • @VeridianCity ah ce compositeur ma séduit ilya peut quel talent

  • @7110thekiller j'ai ecrit : ah ce compositeur ma séduit il y a peut quel talent

  • @7110thekiller il y a peut, quel talent

  • @201shredder That is only because you dont open your mind to it, but let the influence of others control you, and remain a product of society.

  • @201shredder Hush child. You'll ruin the good music.

  • @201shredder ...And what music do you like? Let me see here... Pearl Jam, Muse? I am not saying I dislike that music, but none in the genre (or any genre) have come close to the musical excellence of Beethoven.
