this has always sounded like a sequel to "frankie and johnnie" to me....even the beginning strains hark back to that melody. i like marion's style.... thanks for this post. those old columbias are not like the latter black and gold electrics ones: the vocals are often hard to understand on the early ones. nice job with the sound.
