Haha, thanks. Yeah, when i recorded this video, i wasn't able to use my pinky for beans, unless it was a chord or something. But since then, i've been using my pinky more, but it's still not strong/accurate enough for some stuff. And i'm glad you agree with the tone issue haha.

They are EMG Hz pickups, which are passive. Not active. I used the bridge pickup - the EMG H4 - the entire time in the video. It's a passive pickup. The neck pickup is an EMG H4a, also passive.

I'm either getting the blackheart or a Epiphone Valve Junior. how are you getting such a nice metal tone out of it? I am looking for almost exactly the amount of gain your using. You using your ds-1? I have a metal muff i was planning on using with it.

First of all, go with the Blackheart. The EQ is amazing once you learn how to use it!! It works differently than other amps. And i'm not sure how i'm getting that much gain out of the DS-1!! I used to use a Solid State amp, and i know, for sure, it didn't have that much gain... Maybe because it's a tube amp? Not sure... But yeah, now i use different settings with the EQ(Since i learned how to use it), but in the video i had the mids scooped. If you have any more quesitons, i'll be glad to reply.

Nice Sound. Now I'm thinking of buying the Blackheart. How are ur settings? Have you made any experience with other distortion pedals?

Thanks, but i don't really wanna give away my settings. Sorry. But, no. I have not had any other experience with other distortion pedals besides a Ts9. I'm either gonna get a metal muff or a turbo rat. Gotta try em first, though.
