See, you can tell how much Winston loves Noah, he's willing to do anything to keep his son with him. But it's obvious he's completely psycho so he takes that to the extreme. But he thought that Noah's mom was trying to take him away, Dusty was figuring it out, he thinks Luke's turned his son into something he's not ('you're not the son I raised') and he just wants his son back and he thinks that getting rid of Luke is the only way to go about doing that.
Why, at no point, does Winston reconsider his choice to kill Luke? Noah's so greatful for his father's, assumed, acceptance, yet the man is still so close minded.

You know, people should listen to Maddie more often. Holden didn't seem to be taking her serious at all, as if he was trying to convince not only her but himself that Mayer had changed. And Lily knew that Dusty suspected him, she should have told Holden the truth. I don't blame her for Luke's accident like Holden does, but maybe things would have turned out a little different if she had confided her suspicions to Holden. And Holden needs to get over his jealousy of Dusty in the worst way!!!
