  • I'm Impressed, The guitar looks very nice. I don't know nothing about building amps but I sure wish I could hear it in person. Nice job!

  • Nice sounding amp! Which kind of tone stack inspired you?

  • @ossopalatino The circuit sounds like a dare. The preamp is a 6SQ7-modified Danelectro Centurian tonestack-6SQ7 then the Aiken's phase inverter to an Ampeg M-15 power section. The PT is from an old Hammond organ amp. Even though it's a weird animal I love the way it sounds, very fat cleans. I will probably still put a James/Baxandall type tonestack in it just to hear what that sounds like.....I'm an incessant tinkerer ;)

  • @JPCguitar God job. I like barney kessel sound. I've build an amp with 2xkt66(fixed bias). Similar to Dr. Z Route 66 amp, I used an old pentode on input stage (6sj7) like in old gibson amp. The most interesting part of the circuit is the tone stack. I suggest you to take a look to Traynor yba-2a tone stack.

  • Have you used negative feedback on circuit?

  • @ossopalatino No, there's no negative feedback....the distortion you're hearing is the sad little mic in my laptop peaking. There's no distortion from the amp.
