  • I'd love to see a series of videos from beginning to end, right from the basic lump of clay to the strung BJD. Any plans for that? I hope, I hope!

  • @ERIN478 i'd love if i could do that! but this girl took me over 23 months to complete, so recording it all would be almost more time consuming than making her, there are also alot of steps that dont come across as overly interesting on video - especially the finalising and joint work. i might look at recording more chunks of making my next BJD project, but i cant say it will be all of the process. sorry.

  • Hey, did you finish and if so will you upload a video? May I ask what yo referencing on your computer?

  • @TheSkyhazFallen. hi! she is finished now. first round of molds have been made. that would have been me changing the music i was listening to, i prefer to sculpt with music or a movie on in the background. the book you could see me flicking through was my body references ( virtual pose 3) the blog entry i list in the comments has her progress in pictures and links to the casting blog too. i haven't made any new video's about her yet sorry.

  • Hello Shelbelly

    I wanted to ask how to extract the aluminum core of the body and the head of your doll

  • @sagaslover: um i just use a hooked tool and knives, pliaers etc to pull the aluminum out, pretty much you just pull the core apart to get it out, but it works. somtimes you have to cut a bigger hole to get the core out, but if your careful it can be done with no damage to the polymer.

  • @shelbelly Thanks n__n

  • Hey, I really like your doll. Amazing! I'm wondering, I'm going to be using polymer clay for my doll, can you give me a couple tips. I've never used polymer clay (but I've used clay like it, from what i've heard from it) any tips?

  • Could you please make me one that is a girl I will pay you 50 please I really want one and I will mention you on YouTube opening he I really want one have looked every where

  • @adriennegirl1 lol these dolls cost a looooooot more than 50 please try doing some research :3

  • hi, this is great. I was wondering- I see a lot of people adding more clay to their dolls after baking- are you going to bake it again? wouldn't there be discoloration especially in skin toned sculpey? thanks

  • @katie4424, hi

    yeah, i dont have much trouble with re-baking the pieces as i use the super sculpt + firm sculpy, i haven't used much plain sculpy, but i would assume it would disscolour the more you bake it. i guess it really depends on if your dolls are going to be OOAK and remain in sculpy, or if their primed and cast. but havnt learnt how to sculpt well enough to be able to work with out baking, sanding then adding, and repeating.

  • I just went to the link, and I just wanted to say your creations are so wonderful!

    I'm making my first bjd at the moment and it's taking me a month already ^_^;;

  • aww thank you! :3

  • hi. i was wondering what you are using? is it clay or something els?
