It's obvious that there is more clarity on the youtube video. do you not notice how none of the continents are in view at all on the dvd version you claim is the original?
The difference is the compression, which has made it look lighter and has moothed the pixels through a blur effect.

Why would the CoS touch it up? What reason could they have? Doing that to a VIDEO would take a huge amount of time. Oh, and by the way, the video in theirs is at a different aspect ratio and zoom without distortion. So that means theirs should be even more pixelated. The smoke effect is also much less pronounced.

I like to believe it's true, and with CoS' history it wouldn't really surprise me either, but who says CoS didn't receive the threat in higher quality? I mean, i don't know the exact story, but are you sure the video only got sent to them in YouTube format? What keeps somebody from sending a threat on DVD format to one of their offices?
Well, it says in the video that the threat was posted on Youtube, which is where they pulled all of the others. So, that would make Youtube the most likely source.
I have the exact image the Anon used in their video on my computer. Google images lol. CoS probably has the same image and could have used it to recreate the anon video in "higher quality". But I think they probably just photoshopped a frame from the youtube video, as I've recreated the "higher quality version" from a frame from the anon video, and it looks exactly like the image used in the CoS video. This myth is busted.
I'm surprised you were able to create and upload a video to youtube, but you don't know that you can blur and adjust the colors or a video in Adobe Premeire. Actually I think you're just willingly being ignorant so you can create a conspiracy theory.

Well I'm happy you're acknowledging that their guilty of "Adding effect to evidence" and not faking bomb threats. Had this been a court of law, tampering with the evidence in this way would be a no-no, but this is a documentary, and the video was blurred to maintain a certain level of visual quality throughout the finished product.

I was under the impression Youtube keeps a copy of the original video uploaded before it is recoded as a FLV file. If thats the case it wouldn't take much effort for the Co$ lawyers to get there hands on it.
No they don't keep a copy. The encoding is at the FLV level. It is not recoded. I've put up high quality FLV and low res ones.
Its possible whoever made the threat got it from COS material. However a bit of stretch of trying to slap on Anon as it is not an organisation as such.

Yes that is true, however, the only available copy of the "threat" was the low quality copy which is provided here. After it was noticed the FBI was quickly contacted and it taken down. The ONLY way for the higher resolution to be availabe to the Scilons would be for them to have the direct master file of the vid before it was uploaded. No high quality version existed on the net until this new evidence. This is indeed a footbullet.
Since as early as February 4th for some, and a large number of older videos that were submitted at high resolution have been reencoded. But I don't think this is related to the HQ upgrade.
I'm really not all that surprised. Wouldn't be the first time the $cifags have lied about stuff. How many scientologists in the world are there? I think in the UK they quoted some 1.5 million, when the actual statistics as taken by an optional question in the british census (98% of those surveyed answered it) indicated ~2000 scientologists.

Co$ has submitted a DVD of videos they claim to have pulled of youtube as evidence of threats of violence. the thing is the video quality is far better and higher rez on their DVD than on the youtube vids, proving they created the threatening material in the 1st place.
For people who have no idea what this is trying to get at:
This means that Co$ somehow had the original, higher resolution version of the bombthreat video. Nobody else on the intrawebz had a copy of that... In other words, they made it.
There's no way you could 'de-interlace' or smooth or blur etc. the youtube video and get those color variations on the lines like they have in their DVD. Those shades of blue don't even exist on the lines in the youtube version!
Not exactly unexpected that CoS would try and frame anonymous, but you'd think with all that money they could have done a better job.

Why would the CoS touch it up? What reason could they have? Doing that to a VIDEO would take a huge amount of time. Oh, and by the way, the video in theirs is at a different aspect ratio and zoom without distortion. So that means theirs should be even more pixelated. The smoke effect is also much less pronounced.

I like to believe it's true, and with CoS' history it wouldn't really surprise me either, but who says CoS didn't receive the threat in higher quality? I mean, i don't know the exact story, but are you sure the video only got sent to them in YouTube format? What keeps somebody from sending a threat on DVD format to one of their offices?

Well, it says in the video that the threat was posted on Youtube, which is where they pulled all of the others. So, that would make Youtube the most likely source.

I have the exact image the Anon used in their video on my computer. Google images lol. CoS probably has the same image and could have used it to recreate the anon video in "higher quality". But I think they probably just photoshopped a frame from the youtube video, as I've recreated the "higher quality version" from a frame from the anon video, and it looks exactly like the image used in the CoS video. This myth is busted.

Well I'm happy you're acknowledging that their guilty of "Adding effect to evidence" and not faking bomb threats. Had this been a court of law, tampering with the evidence in this way would be a no-no, but this is a documentary, and the video was blurred to maintain a certain level of visual quality throughout the finished product.

What bothers me about this Anon vs CoS thing is:
1. Anon is legion. They harass people on the internet for lulz, and that's fine. But they're not crusaders for good.
2. The people following this are sceptical of CoS, that's good. But they're not sceptical about conspiracy theories like these.

4. There are people who have dedicated their lives to fighting CoS and other murderous religious movements. They aren't faceless, nameless cowards who call in death threats. Support them instead!
5. Islamism, the political/religious movement behind 9/11. It killed 161 people worldwide LAST WEEK ALONE, and 1300 in the month of February. It's a much more serious problem than CoS, but Anon is too scared to try take them on.

I was under the impression Youtube keeps a copy of the original video uploaded before it is recoded as a FLV file. If thats the case it wouldn't take much effort for the Co$ lawyers to get there hands on it.

No they don't keep a copy. The encoding is at the FLV level. It is not recoded. I've put up high quality FLV and low res ones.
Its possible whoever made the threat got it from COS material. However a bit of stretch of trying to slap on Anon as it is not an organisation as such.

Yes that is true, however, the only available copy of the "threat" was the low quality copy which is provided here. After it was noticed the FBI was quickly contacted and it taken down. The ONLY way for the higher resolution to be availabe to the Scilons would be for them to have the direct master file of the vid before it was uploaded. No high quality version existed on the net until this new evidence. This is indeed a footbullet.

I'm really not all that surprised. Wouldn't be the first time the $cifags have lied about stuff. How many scientologists in the world are there? I think in the UK they quoted some 1.5 million, when the actual statistics as taken by an optional question in the british census (98% of those surveyed answered it) indicated ~2000 scientologists.

There's no way you could 'de-interlace' or smooth or blur etc. the youtube video and get those color variations on the lines like they have in their DVD. Those shades of blue don't even exist on the lines in the youtube version!
Not exactly unexpected that CoS would try and frame anonymous, but you'd think with all that money they could have done a better job.

In case any of you are just tuning in and DON'T GET IT- if scientology is giving the feds video evidence that is of higher quality than what the original was, then obviously THEY made the threat against themselves(youtube then pixelated the video) and then gave the court the original video(higher quality) as the evidence. OOPS. EPIC FAIL.
