With a twisted sense of history it would seem as if the Beatles just made this song for Pearl Jam. And that's in fact what I thought while listening to the Beatles' original before even knowing that a Pearl Jam version actually did exist. You can just imagine them doing it.
Great version! I am a dyed-in-the-wool Beatlesfan, and normally I shy away from cover versions....there are only few who really get the feelings in their songs. Aerosmith did a good job with some of their songs, so did Joe Cocker and Jimi Hendrix. Pearl Jam belong into this league.

Who knew some GOOD songs titled I've got a feeling were good? I hate that new piece of donkey dump by the black eyed peas. Every time I hear it, I want to tear my ears off. Pearl Jam and the Beatles FTW!
this mix put the voice way louder than the rst of the instruments, ive got a better version that you can hear clearly the guitars, wich is the best of this cover in my opinion.
It's the B-Side to Alive on Cassette Only...Back when Columbia Records still put everything on their "Red Label" Cassettes of the 80's and early 90's.
Because Let it Be was mixed by Phil Spector and he changed a lot of stuff, The Long and Winding Road, I Me Mine, and I've Got a Feeling are the most notable examples.
It's hard to say that a remake of this song can have any truer soul than the Beatles' Rooftop version did - but Pearl Jam does the song well with the injection of some pretty decent licks, and the vocals are solid.
Having said that, I still prefer the original though...

What record is this on?
This song fits Eddie's style perfectly. So sweet.

The released version first came out on the original Pearl Jam Promo CD for Alive, plus the Japanese versions of the Ten album.

This sounds amazing. Don't know why the quieted down the percussion in the final mix of Let it Be. Never heard this cover. Great!

I also prefer McCartney, but Eddie did a great job. Well done.

Hmm.... I like the alternate lyrics. John would probably approve. He never could remember his own lyrics.
