I hate that people call him a "crazy diamond". He was just a man who wasn't at ease with other people. This must've been a long-standing issue that was just exaggerated by his rampan drug use and it saddens me that his bandmates didn't try harder to get him help. I hate to say this, but the Syd Barrett that people revered died over 35 years ago.

He died 3 or 4 days ago from diabetes related complications....dunno what exactly. But it was only announced yesterday.
