@bdave2k8 yes you can make slow mo by simply dragging a video effect across. You can make flashes using fades and wipes that are also on moviemaker. For a afree program its not too bad at all

MPEG 4 is basically flash so no you cant import it into windows movie maker. What you can do however is get one of a lot of free utils to convert your mpeg 4 into an avi file or wmv file. I would recommend you convert to avi and then change to wmv. You can use free youtube downloader to do this or other free versions available on the web. You can not import mpeg 4 into most applications as it is a flash video and so is made for the web. I love Mpeg 4 and use video lan to play it

I am sorry its been a while it sounds to me like you have no codecs. You need to download a codec pack just type in all in one codec on google and follow the insructions reboot and you will see it then appear on movie maker good luck

whenever i try to add music onto a pic slideshow and i want to get it out of my itunes documents it doesnt let me get songs

like it shows the artist and alum but when i click on the album nothing shows up

what do i do to get those songs on the video?

Sounds to me that you are using aac in itunes that is not supported by windows movie maker. You need to convert your songs to mp3 format or wma format before you can import them

my problem is that i have a kodak pic/recording camara and when i send vids from my cam to the computor it saves but when i try to import a video to wmm it doese not go trough?

then you need to download a free convertor software and convert from the format your camera does to one that the computer will recognise. To find out right click the files and see what the extention is.  Remember windows movie maker only likes wma wmv mpeg and avi files

Vista doesn't appear to allow web cams as input just video cams. So it appears to me that there is a problem there. I really do not know why Microsoft made it like this and I hope it is addressed in Windows 7 that comes out soon. If you want to record web cam you need to use windows media encoder. Then import it into Movie Maker and then make your movies. Its a pain but thats the only way in Vista for it to work sorry

Yes you need to either download that. Use your camera software built in with some webcams. Or any external program to record a video. Then import into windows movie maker. I really fail to see why Microsoft have change vista so you can't record web cams. Its the most stupidest thing they have ever done and I hope windows 7 is better.

You can still make vids quite easily by using free youtube downloader and converting to avi then importing them and using them to edit

You need to give me details. Also save your project first. That way you can always come back to it if its a crash. So say your pc freezes up etc. You can load your project back in and not loose all the work. I would suggest every 5 mins saving your project.
