I have magic disc and daemon tools lite, not sure why I need Nero as well but whatever.

Hi i'm trying to put my DVDs on my computer so i can convert them using a converter afterwards but everytime i use this even when i only click on the main title and use the reAuthor thing it seperates the movie in to different parts how can i get it to just save as one file?

if i for example i have a dvd containing episodes, will dvd shrink be able to rip them to my hard drive without me having to do each episode individually or will dvd shrink burn them together?

I only use shrink for dvd compressions of 90% or more, because the one downfall with CCE encoder is it takes between 160-400+ minutes to encode a dvd. If you want a dvd backup fast, use shrink, but I'll warn you that the quality will not be too amazing. If you have time, use the CCE encoder and you will have a 99% near perfect back up dvd.

dvd shrink sucks now adays, its all about dvd rebuilder pro (cost 50 dollars) and CCE or CCE SP encoders. My CCE SP encoder cost 1950$ but luckily, i got a cracked version and it blows away dvd shrink by a mile. Typically when you compress a 7-8 GB movie down to 4.7, there will be loss of quality, but with my encoder, you cant tell barely any difference from my backup version opposed to the original disc version. Its amazing, I suggest everyone to look into it. I never even touch shrink anymore.

you could have it set to perform a deep analysis. this extends the time to burn. also, don't run any other programs while you are burning. you can also choose to burn at a faster rate. or you can purchase a faster dvd burner drive.

If it's an avi file, you can't use DVD shrink ... it only copies standard DVD format. You can use a standard CD/DVD burner like Nero to burn a copy to a disc.

download VLC player and it will play your backyp file easily! (it's free!!)

VLC PLAYER should play the sound. if it doesn't either re-install it or check your computer sound. sometimes restarting your computer helps!
