I'm glad he spelled it like that, so people can see how it's actually pronounced... If one were to go to Slovenia and call it "AkrapoviCK" They'd probably get slapped lol.
R1 was amazing and so is the Aprilia but for different reasons. Jap bikes have it all at a great price, but Duc n Apr have that little something for a lot more!
But on vid, sorry, zorst sounds pants for this bike. Check out Austin Racing cans ;-)
People claim that Italian mchines have "soul" and what not because ....everyone has jap bikes and mainly beause the Italian machines cost so much more and are hence more exclusive. On the other hand if a yam s price was eccentric like that of a duke or an Aprillia and if the duke was as cheap as the yam...people d say...a yam has more soul and blah blah.Everyone likes exclusivity. Anything exclusive=soul.
@epiphonesg007 Hate to break the news to you, but more expensive doesnt always mean "better". Jap bikes are mass produced and Japanese have lean manufacturing to a science, hence they can build the same bike cheaper. Italian labor isn't cheap either.
Example of high price doesnt always mean "better": 2012 Nissan GTR has 530hp and 4?? ft-lbs torque. This car can be purchased for $100k. How much will the Ferrari cost that will compare or beat the GTR? Its a multiple of $100k I can tell you.
YOur example is nice. But like you said yourself the ferrari will beat it but it will cost (waay) more.
Same thing on the R1, it's (a lot) cheaper it will perform amazing for millions of people and even better for some because it has all technology in it and made to handle easy. While the aprilia handles a bit rougher, but the lap times will be better although it''s only 1 or 0.1 second faster.
This is an awesome bike but I'd still take a CBR1000rr. Virtually the same power but less expensive, more comfortable, and Honda reliability and performance. If I was rich I'd have them all!!
Yeah, R1 is a great a bike, so is GXSR1000, but they will never be a ducati or aprillia, just like a Shadow will never be a shovelhead,, performance wise Italians rock, but the art and soul means as much to some of us as the numbers.
put this on a track to an R1 and it will clean it. better breaks power band handling feel its all round fraction better performance and comfort the R1 is just smoother with the transmition
sorry to break it down to you all, like wrote before; this is a gorgeous bike, but the high performance parts is what makes these bikes somehow competitive, if you put ohlins suspension and forged wheels to a R1,GSXR1000 or CBR1000 then its game over, depends on the rider also but bike for bike japanese bikes are the best. and don't bring the Rossi stuff please he can make any bike fast. and until now BMW has something worth looking they just realize how ugly their bikes are.
@n0surrebda ..What, you go to every RSV4 video and post hatefull comments all over them? Whats your purpose? What is your goal? Yealousy hurts deep inside , i know.
im not talking overall motorcycle,im talking engine wise, the r1 has the sound but its still not a V4 never been a fan of yahama,i think the R1is a bit overhyped ,(my opinion)everyone buys it because of the sound you get good specs with it but its the sound thats the stepping stone to buying the machine, i own a kawi zx6r and rsv mille so don't worry i know enough about the difference between a jap and italian bikes
@VeniVidiVici2311 I hear on the RSV4 Factory model your not supposed to switch the mode selector to track unless your a LICENSED racer. From what ive heard its BRUTAL and actually in some instances dangerous if you dont know what your doing. I dont own an Italian anything lol i cant afford it : / but i would trade my Yamaha r6 for an Aprilia any day of the week. Italians Rule in all kind of motor sports In my opinion but Japanese is just good clean AFFORDABLE competition and great fun as well.
Suits the gold wheels alot! You need a racefit style exhaust on there though

It sounds like and angry lion that is about to go past you with 2milion rpm in 200th gear and rip your head off. Nuff said.

It's not the same thing, trust me.
The frame, the weight balance, the electronics, the engine: all parameters that characterize the bike, making that model unique.
It's not a simple discussion about forks or wheels...

beautifull bike, awesome sound but still no match for a japanese bike.
mer1316 2 years ago
you can prefer japanese bikes but don't say it is no match. if you do not have rossi riding japanese bikes italian bikes are best along with germans.
