@MysteryRandomGuy2 Try renaming the file to .mp4 instead of .MOV. I found this worked for me as a quick fix, although I now use a slightly more convoluted process.

Thanks for the video. Any chance you know if when powered with DC, if the video/audio signal can be read realtime by a laptop (iMovie)? I used to be able to get a realtime signal from my MiniDV cam over FireWire. I would REALLY like that feature, using this unit as a direct camera.

The top 3 cameras as of now are the Zi8, Vado, and Flip. I compared this camera to the Vado, and Flip (all of them). Features, picture quality, low light quality, and ease of file manipulation...Zi8 wins.

I just got mine...hands down the best pocket cam out there. The external mic jack is my favorite feature. Im using mine on a motorcycle for on-ride vids....the external mic allows me to narrate and have the camera mounted someplace else.

tried both the Flip and Kodak. The Koda won by a slight margin just due to 1080i and 720 @60 fps AND mic enternal jack. the screen is bigger and holds more memory. U all do the math...Kodak

Agree, however i have bought a very smal pocket tripod for this. Also the kodak KLIC-7004 Li-Ion Rechargeable Battery. Is of higher quality than standard AA or AAA batterys. It sharges through the USB plug also. You can buy extra batteries on ebay.

I am thinking or purchasing this to replace my Zi6. Only problem is the rechargable battery. With the Zi6 if you run out of power you can just put in new batteries, with this you have to find somewhere to charge it. Could be difficult if you are out and about.

In order to handle hi def ESPECIALLY 1080p you need to have a pretty fast computer with plenty of ram. If you only have 512mb of RAM I would not suggest getting this.

I have an old Mac G5 tower with a 1.85 ghz processor and 4 gigs of RAM and when I tried playing some video shot with the Flip Mino HD it played really really choppy and that was 720p. With this camera I doubt your computer would be able to process true 1080p.

2200+ 5min+ vids on my zi6, the usb switchblade never gets used I just swap into a card reader. The battery door broke at 36hrs, now taped each time.

The mic jack will be good as will the headphones but here are my observations for a far better cam.

-White auto adjust is troublesome and very limited in reducing the bleaching.

-Screen is very tough until you get intuitive at pointing and shooting.

-Needs lense protection manual slide

-Zoom will be better I hope at 4x

-Please zi10 have video in!

There's a few videos out there that showed the quality of the Zi8 and the Flip Ultra HD. The picture and audio quality of the Zi8 was subpar compared to the Ultra HD both indoors and outdoors. Kodak doesn't have a winning product here, I think they are relying on the "1080p" label for sales.

The image stabilization better be damn good as I have a pretty steady hand, if it's not it might be a deal breaker! I read when the image stabilization is on it uses more battery power, now with a set of disposable AA batteries who cares if the i.s. is on or not.

Does this model have a wider lens than the Zi6? Thing I hated about the zi6 was you couldn't turn the camera on yourself easily and get your whole head in shot. Something the flip cameras have thought about. If there's no wider lens on this I'll be going for the flip Ultra HD instead.

There was a mistake in the OS specification which is being corrected. It should say, "Pentium-4 2.8GHz processor or higher". This is required for acceptable playback in the default capture mode of 720p/30fps.
