i would guess it is because the white man has lived to long in comfort, that he forgot what it is to truly struggle to survive, to exist in this mortal life. tho not completely his fault, he should listen WELL to the lessons in Apocalypto and stories/histories like it, for the time may soon come where he finds that wisdom will be the ONLY thing that will save him from his own undoing

the white man has RARELY EVER acted as well as the actors in this movie, the emotion, the social interaction, the visceral hand to hand combat, it is so pure in its form in this movie. i attribute this amazing effort more to the actors than the director. any1 who gave this movie a bad review totally missed the many many different levels of human struggle and consequence that were thrown at the audience. this overachieved where Emerald Forest came up so short (tho still a good film for its time)

Great movie, between my favs
