  • hahahahaha at the end he got a BIG ASS BONER HAHAHAHA WATCH CLOSELY!!! WHO WOULDN'T WITH THOSE NURSES!!! HAHAHAHA

  • id be pushing that button all night!

  • There's something I need to check with anyone who saw the show in its original run or who has the original VHS tapes - were the episodes an hour long or about 47 minutes long? I haven't managed to find a conclusive answer anywhere. I ask because I loved the few episodes I saw of this and so bought the complete Series 1-4 box set, and the episodes are 47 mins each. I'll be quite pissed if I find out they've cut 13 minutes from every single episode.

  • @BreakRightIntoHeaven LMAO! Are you serious? Hello, when the episodes were first broadcast, they were an hour because of commercials. There are shortened on the dvd because it is only the episodes without commercials, therefore that is about the standard length for 1 episode between 47 and 50 minutes. There is no cut footage unless the rerun tv networks cut it in their rebroadcasts.

    Think about it!

You get a thumbs up though for one of the dumbest comments on this vid though.

  • @videozfann

For the record, I took into consideration the idea that commercials would have added to the overall time slot of the episodes, but some of the sources I found online stated that the episodes themselves were 60 minutes long. So no, it wasn't that obvious for me. But still, good for you. Responding to a genuine and non-arrogant question from someone who wasn't lucky enough to see the original series by being rude and patronising. Over the internet. Bet you feel pleased with yourself.

  • @BreakRightIntoHeaven Ok, maybe that was out of line to an obvious question but 60 minutes with commercials on tv networks back then and now but 47 to 50 minutes uncut on dvd.

  • @videozfann

    Understood, thankyou.

  • @BreakRightIntoHeaven No problem, apologies for crappy original reply. This series is an oldie but sure is a goodie, even now. All the 1 hour shows i have on dvd are pretty much the same. Originally broadcast with commercials were an hour are between 47 to 50 minutes on dvd. The 1/2 hour shows I have without the commercials obviously on dvd are about 23 minutes.

  • @videozfann

Yeah, it seemed quite suspect that if the DVDs I had really were shortened edits, that they would ALL be around 47/50 minutes, there were just some sites that claimed the episodes were an hour each. No biggie. As for the show itself, hell yeah, this is TV at its finest - it gets said so much but it's true, that they don't make em' like this any more. I'm only 18 but I don't even own a TV set, just a PC so I can play some of the golden retro stuff :)

  • @BreakRightIntoHeaven So you are 18 and like the oldies, that is great. Just shows you know good tv. I grew up with this among others and would rather watch my dvds of the retro stuff than most crap now. Most people your age would think this is garbage. If you like the retro stuff, check out my channel, plenty of it.

  • Its A cool car ,Yip !

Looks a nightmare to drive , Handles like an oil tanker, Love it !

  • What year was this Gran Torino?

  • @dcareyHQvideos the striped tomato is a 75, originally, there were multiple 76/76 torino's ordered

  • Hey Hutch,at least Starkey had a car.

  • Bullit had its VW Bug, Starsky and Hutch have their Porshe

  • man, hot nurses, man, oh man, look at those hotties!

  • This episode was today on TV :D Love the show:!

  • better then any new show

  • That's a cool sounding siren.

  • Subject: Maniacal "tine" - "Hutch" run

    Anagram: The Manchurian Lunatic

  • OMG, every car in this clip is awesome!

  • i love this car chase scene and i love watching starsky and Hutch

  • This is the lamest car chase I've ever seen !

  • this is the flash back episode

  • Pretty discreet looking car for a couple of undercover cops.

  • As Jimmy Saville used to say , clunk click every trip. Good old PIF 1970s info films.

  • Is there any one that can tell me what Starsky and Hutch are saying from 0:25 ... I do understand that they are talking about the Torino, but I didn't understand very well ! ;)

  • That Ambulance was red and white too...was that Starsky's LOL!

  • Great clip - always used to stay up late & what this show as a kid. They don't make nurses like that anymore!!

  • huggie was the best thing in this show

  • the nurses?no MY nurses yeah

  • Buckle Up For Safety!

This would have made a good series finale.

  • I really want to try that stunt at 3:30, lol.

  • That's great! Bullitt like. Love the cars in the background.

  • Huge ships....

  • They must really like driving under that bridge

  • if u dislike this your a fucking bitch ass fag cunt whore dumb shit bastard shit you fail at life...and I dont like you.

  • And his hair is perfect. Somehow he plowed into a windshield at 100+ mph and not only didn't get blood in his hair, he didn't even muss it.

  • what can I say? this was back when we had real tv. Not the junk we have today.

some of these eposides were really well done acting wise. I didn't tune in just to see chase scenes but I have to admit they are fun to watch.

  • Looks like Hutch's airbag did not work.

Love the car chases, great action but Starsky came up short.

  • they cant drive

  • How can Starsky break the law if he's in police pursuit mode? God, Hutch needs to study up on law!

  • This was my favorite, Hutch pretended to suffer amnesia to teach Starsky a big lesson! Man that car they chased kicked major ass out there!

  • Here's My Theory : Starsky was gay and Hutch was bisexual. How about this ?

  • S&H always had great car chase scenes. If you watch that season, the chase was actually pulled from a previous episode called, "The Heroes", where they try to impress a beautiful blond reporter, lol

  • This is better. Way better than the 2004 film version of the series.

  • my buddy in High school moved from Enland to this country when he was 14; From watching american TV over there he thought that was how cops were over in the states; car chases and shootouts everywhere and everyday! . Made USA seem very exciting and he could not wait to come here. Very disappointed when he found out that it was not done that way

  • How many times did they pass that same bridge? And look at those nurses. I never see them looking that good.

  • "hottest machine on el roado"

Keep dreaming mate, that low compression smogged peice of shit sucks ass.

  • 3:38 - OUCH!!! That's gotta hurt soooo bad! They are gonna feel that first thing in the morning.

  • S & H had more chase scenes then this one, and the 2 torino chase, where's the others?

  • yeah, stunts from 70s-80s were awesme

now people just try to do crap that could get them killed

  • Gran Torino chasing a mustang,, Great chase. I agree with Yastunt, 70's stunt drivers were exellent. I enjoyed that, We rarely see great car chases on telly shows these days. Health and saftey do gooders say Nooooo,, you cant dooo that,,,lol. Thanks for posting, great stuff.

  • Stunt drivers of the 70s were in a class of their own!

  • Celà fait très plaisir de les entendre parler en anglais car étant adulte maintenant je peux lse comprendre et connaître enfin leurs vrais voix. Un grand plaisir de voir ce passage ! Et revoir cette voiture ! Belle poursuite ; attention Hutch !

  • I love it when Starsky is driving. Hutch reactions are very funny.

  • I was gonna say they must have been going around in circles, they went under the same overpass about 4-5 times lol

  • You see boys! You have to wear your Seat Belts! Buckle Up! Hot Nurses! What Hospital is this?

  • Hutch trash talking the Zebra Three?! Say it isn't so!

  • He always was talking about that car bad even though he had a clapped out ford galaxie that was basically a beat up unmarked retired police car. it even stalled out in the middle of a chase. i put the torino form the S&H movie in this ones place they would have already caught that stang!

  • Starsky gave it a good run, he showed he could drive and that was against a smaller and i think a little better handling car. the Torino seemed to be a little slower than that mustang, which sounded like the one from bullet. But even billy joe said" He ain't bad!" starsky says" That guy is one good driver!" Biggest difference is, billy joe obviously did nto give a crap if anyone got hurt, S&h did. one of the better chases from the entire series.

  • Looks like a Mustang Fastback driving on the left side of the screen at 2:12. Correct me if I'm wrong.

  • @hazballs09 Yes it is. '64 or '65

  • So what happened in the end ?

Did they catch ole Billy Joe ?

Nice move from Billy Joe, when he out drove S & H.

  • in the end of the episode, capt. dobey mentions they caught billy joe.

  • God I remember watching this when it first aired

  • they went under the same overpass 4 times!

  • "Ain't no cop born or made can out drive Billy Joe."

  • Great chase scene but a lot of stock footage from previous episodes.

Still good and reminds me why I liked this show.

  • Were did that person come from in the back seat of Starskys car at 2:15? It must of been a back seat driver? LOL

  • Stock Footage from episode Heroes earlier in the season.

  • You can learn a lot from a dummy.

  • How many times were they gonna go under that same freeway overpass. Gosh that was getting old. It was like 4 or 5 times lol.

  • What episode is this???????????????????

  • It's from season 3. The episode is "Partners"

  • Oh! Thanks a lot!! :D

  • I was in the hospital recently and it was exactly like that last scene.

What the hell was wrong with the 70's?

    "I'm a criminal catcher!"

    WTF?

  • I don't remember Hutch whining so much :D

  • None of them are wearing seat belts! hehe.

  • Paul Michael Glaser=Peter Shilton

  • BUCKLE UP FOR SAFETY!

  • Damn! The Torino!! Billie Joe is da bomb.

  • "That guys a criminal and I'm a criminal catcher" hahaa! duble clutched the hell out of that Stange

  • Why the hell does he keep pressing the brake pedal?? And the dubbed on gearchanges for an automatic Torino..Honestly....

  • you fool that was the pony

  • Rear view mirror in windshield is missing!

  • Um,correction on the 64 thing, rthere was no such thing as a 64 mustang, they came out in mid year 64 which was registered as a 65,they were nicknamed 64 1/2 but they were 65s,and also, there was fastbacks in 65.The 1966 shelby had the plexiglass window but the 2+2s had the louvered windows

  • "Aint no cop born to made that can out drive Billy Joe." LOL!!!

  • Love the chase, hate the ending. Parts of this chase were originally used in an earlier episode in season 3 called "The Heros" where S & H try to impress a female journalist.

  • Yeah it one scene you can see her in the back of the car as they go around a corner. Good old stock fottage.

  • I love the banter between Starsky and Hutch. lol

  • Can someone tell me why, whenever they show the driver's feet, he is pushing a clutch that looks like it is superimposed onto the original pedals?

  • Kinda wondered that myself?

  • Buckle up Hutch, it is the law especially when Starsky is driving.

  • LOL.. Yep :)

  • @retromann1 Amen to that.

  • the dispatcher said that was a '64 maroon ford. That most def is not a '64. I think it was a 69 or 70 they were chasing

  • It's a 65. You can tell by the rear windows. 66 that was changed to plexiglass. There was no Mustang fastback in 64.

  • Sorry, I am not a mustang expert!

  • It's ok. The front end styling didn't change much on the 60's Mustangs. It's easy to get them mixed up.

  • Legendary 70's tv series. Love the car.

  • This is something i want to see a 1976 ford Gran torino vs a 1968 fastback ford Mustang. A compition of Ford vs Ford. My reaction to this is that the Ford Mustang can beat the red tomato because the torino is alot heavier even though it has 460 ci engine that breaks 435 hp ,on the other hand Mustang is alot lighter.

  • explain why there where no marked units

  • because that would render the Torino chase unnecessary, and thats the best bit about Starsky and Hutch!

  • Another great car chase from a great 70's series.

  • This episode was in 3rd season and called "Partners"it's about Ken faking he didn't remember anything.

  • that lil 289 sounds like a 390.(fastback)

  • It's the same sound effect used in "Bullitt". Those American muscle cars were fast in a straight line but they couldn't handle worth a darn. In the chase scenes you can see the Torino fishtail like crazy on the curves.

  • The "Bullitt" sound effect actually came from the Mustangs used for the film...they cut out the stock crossflow muffler and left the glasspack resonators on.

  • @redtorino I thought it sounded familiar! Well spotted!

  • Love that chase...torino vs the fastback :)

Now that you have teased us with the opening, how about the whole episode?

  • I'll try to get to that soon. Haven't watched it yet:D was saving it till I got there. Might be a while.

  • @mogogirl67 You can find episodes on Hulu.com. that's I re-discovered the series and now even own a clone of the 'Striped Tomato'

  • Current Comments--
