  • Very informative, one question though. I have noticed that this year on some of my iris they have after flowering developed huge green pods, should these be cut off after blooming, or will they dry out to make seeds which could be planted.

  • Yes indeed! Let the pods dry and plant the seeds in well-drained soil in a pot.  For other scapes, do remove them to keep the plant healthy.
