She landed out of bounds on the third pass which is a 3 tenth deduction plus another 3 probably for the under-rotation and hop combined. Just my assumption. It was a gorgeous routine otherwise.

I agree that Bridget is a better tumbler, one of the best in the world i think, but other than that Nastia is a better gymnast.

its a tenth for stepping out of bounds, but she did a funny hoppy thing. everything probably added up to about 5 tenths. if she didn't do that she wouldve had a 15!!! Nastias so amazing

This is nonsense. On floor, Nastia has quite a few form issues which she is being deducted for. Like her or not, Shawn's tumbling is very clean. They have the same, (or almost the same) difficulty, but Nastia gives a lot away here in execution. Nastia's execution scores on bars and beam were high in this competition.

but shawn fell on beam twice and got the same score nastia did when she fell once. and nastia is very clean on beam. so..i think the scoring is nonsense in some forms.

Nastia's difficulty score is about 0.5/0.4 lower than Shawn's. Plus during that particular routine (you're talking about the AA right?) she missed a valuable connection (ariel walkover to her backward series) so there's your difference of 0.7. The new code is tricky to get your head around, but once you do, the scores begin to make sense. Nastia was not underscored at these worlds, in fact her beam routine in EF got about 9.4/9.5 in execution, as high as score given in that competition.

i know, but a 14.575 is a little harsh in my opinion. i've seen a lot worse with higher scores. so i'm just pointing it out. i understand the new code.
