Now that's an intelligent response. Do you have something against killing for food in areas where animal populations are abundant? Other animals don't seem to care when they eat dinner?
I'll also have you know that this video was featured on the Travel Channel in 2008.
iguana's are almost gone because of people like you "oh all we did was just hit it in the head with a blunt object" that's not cool iguana's are exotic animals go fuck over a chicken or a turkey
You show your ignorance once again. In Central America they are abundant. They're about as exotic as a squirrel or rabbit is in the US. In fact I would say that they are even more abundant. In many places here they are a common food item. The dark colored ones are all over the place. In the area I speared this one they were referred to as the "gallina de palo" or "chicken of the tree". It would be far more exotic to find a wild chicken or turkey. You eat meat?
@pilgui007 , What an irony that you're using violence to as your solution.
Secondly, If you eat meat----you are a complete fool and so out of touch with reality it's not even funny.
If you are a vegan, do you realize that you must savagely kill your plants based items to survive as well?
Are you that out of touch with nature and survival that the biological value and use of animal based protein is not obvious? Turn off your caps-lock and see if you can respond in a socially acceptable manner.
I believe he was engaging in a natural moral human response to your callousness in "thinking the iguana may still be alive"but not caring, not to mention having to resort to the killing of beautiful creatures when you've got plenty of stupid livestock bred for the sole purpose of sating your hunger for flesh back at your lovely home in non third world country, but I could be wrong.
People who kill their own food have my respect. It makes no sense why Florida talked about spending 1 million dollars to destroy these creatures, instead of exploiting this resource.
I sure hope you would kill me to gain energy and strength. NEVER kill and waste. Or are you one of those 'out of touch with nature' idiots that hasn't realized yet every creature on this earth has to kill to survive?
I just killed and slaughtered some broccoli and ate it an hour ago. Poor thing........
Yes iguanas are very good in the state of Michoacan,Mexico where my parents are from they eat them fried in chile chipotle sauce, barbequed, but they taste way better in a stew with carrots, potatoes, chayotes and we even throw in some shrimp!! Guys you'll bust a all niter with this stew!!! LoL wish we had some in Cali!
Hell Yeah, chop that fool up and devour his dinasour azz! Could have been a little more manly and not used gloves, but whatever, You are the hunter, you have eaten what you killed, you have honored that animal. gggGGGRRRREAT! @ all the animal lovers, Shutup! You eat at McDonalds and think it is just a happy meal, some cow took a steel rod to the head so you can upsize your meal, hypocrites.
You do realize that to eat you must kill? Whatever your last meal was, some stuff had to die. I don't care if it's lettuce or cow, killing is killing.
Murderer!!! I hope sometime in the near future an innocent animal will attack you and tear you apart.. the same way you do to them. "Karma" .. does work.. watchit...
If you eat any meat at all you're an idiot. Are you that removed from reality that you've forgotten the basics of human survival. It's not canned food and shopping at the supermarket, I'll tell you that.
And if not.....you do realize that you have to kill eat right? Thank about that poor plant you had to hack down, just to feed your belly. Murderer!!!
Yeah thanks....... I just see food and eat it. The shame is that most people are so conditioned readymade store bought foods that most would starve if put in the wild. We have become pathetic excuses for animals.
Oh God, why is the world packed with know-nothing fools who are not only convinced that they do know it all, but are strongly compelled to attempt to correct those around them when they themselves are wrong?
(I am referring to the people below, who are so astonished that someone killed and ate an iguana, not the guy in the video— just to pre-empt any confusion.)
They're commonly eaten in parts of Costa Rica and most of Nicaraugua. This was broadcast on the Travel Channel in Jan as well. I hardly see how eating a lizard is any different than eating a bird or a cow. This species of iguana is incredibly common. They're everywhere.
I hardly see the difference between eating a chicken or an iguana. In fact, there are iguana farms here in central america where they are grown for the meat. Maybe you should get out and try some other foods now and then. Check out my other video eating termites.
We were traveling and camping, and had no food at the time. The blackish brown ones are all over. If it's illegal to eat them then someone ought to tell the Costa Ricans and Nicaraguans. I don't believe that it is actually illegal to kill an iguana and eat it. They are refered to as the "Gallena De Palo" or Chicked\Hen of the tree.
This variety is everywhere. All you have to do it drive or walk around a bit and you'll see one. Central American Spiny Tail Iguana is the type this one was I think. They are commonly eaten by Costa Ricans. And in Nicaragua you can actually buy them at some of the markets. They big ones are slow and easy to catch.

@ThornUvDaath777 Yes, you're wrong. This is my current home. I have no other.
And it's not a 3rd world country........ I have running water, internet, shelter and many paved roads. No war.
Cows are beautiful creatures too. I only kill if the source is abundant, sustainable and and I'm hungry. I hardly see the difference.

If you don't have the heart to kill your own meat. You don't deserve to eat meat. Stick with your vegetables.
