I really like this guy with his overall humility and explosiveness, but I don't think he has the tools to beat Nick Diaz if they ever fought at 170. It seems as if Woodley's cardio is still suspect and I doubt he has ground grappling ability besides the arm triangle choke he pulled off on Rudy Bears. In the standup department, he gives up about 3 to 3.5 inches of height and several inches of reach as well.
If Strikeforce schedules him next against Diaz, it should be a great fight tho!

Thanks for the amateur background video the music was good quality too. Tyron Woodley got my attention when Pat Militich said he's without a doubt the best athlete in MMA after beating Rudy Bears. He transitions from striking to grappling with ease. People love watching slams too and he's good at that. I wish him the best of luck in his career. He's going to need it if he wants GSP.
Im not sure I would go that far, but if he was in the UFC he would be the next greatest of all time. I like what they are doing though with Shomma, this guy makes that well worth tunning into even though few of the fighters are recognizable

LOL that was me at 1:08 i think i won the first round then after that i got to nervous and wanted to hurry and end it and rushed it and he caught me with that punch........it didnt really hurt but it did break my tooth and knock my mouth piece out.. the mouth filled with blood so i taped.. =) but i wouldnt mind rollin around with sometime Tyrone. give me a shout
Tyron Woodley need to hurry up and get his first professional fight. He's probably waiting on a call back from The Ultimate Fighter 9 tryouts tho. I hope to see him on The Ultimate Fighter. This kid has a bright future in Mixed Martial Arts!

Not quite yet, but he definitely has the potential to be on the level of GSP given time. For right now, he's a top prospect.
Strikeforce was brilliant to sign him long term, he will be a hot free agent once that contract runs out.
