Goodness gracious!!! Why have I never heard of her before today? I was checking out some stratospheric coloratura opera singers and that led to video selections on the right, of singers who can hit whistle notes. I randomly chose a video and Debelah appeared at the end of it and immediately I got chills when she hit that note. In fact, every time that I listen to that part and the one shortly after it, I get chills. I've never heard anyone do a crescendo-style run into a high note like that.

I actually got a chance to see DEBELAH.. I saw her open for 98 DEGREES...The only reason I went to the show.. She was the real deal... She sang this same song...And hit all the notes... the crowd just didnt know what to do with her.. SHE is super talented... but.. Christina possess a 4 octave vocal range and both Mariah and Debelah possess a 5 octave vocal range and can sing in what is call a whistler register. So Christina is pretty damn close and is an accomplished highly skilled vocalist.

Words are inexplicable to say the true beauty of Debelah's voice. She is like a humming bird send from up above. I am a fan of Mariah, but I honestly don't see the comparison between the two. They're both unique and sings differently. A performance like that should be performing live at VMA or the Bet Awards or something. I guaranteed she'd get a standing O. Mexico was one of the few countries in the world that actually released her second album "It's Not Over" and I was lucky enough to get a copy by accident. Whoever that has not listened to that whole album is missing one of those hidden treasures that the muse Music is still trying to keep for herself.
