  • The segue at 2:19 is awesome!!!

Oh yeah, the guitar aint half bad not bad for 130...

  • Great old guy there... Real nice sound...

  • If that thing coud talk....good you saved it :-)

  • GRYMT!

Var hittar du alla gamla gitarrer?

Titta gärna in mina gitarrvideos. :)

  • That's hella tight. That guitar must have a lot of history behind it

  • @SuicideAlexis

I think it has been through a lot before I found it!!

  • sir... how are u finding such great finds? i live in the woods of louisiana and only came across a castilla china made guitar.

  • @heymynameistyler

Man, in the Louisiana woods there MUST be lots of old cool guitars, banjos and mandolins!

    Keep lookin'

  • wow, ur good

How did you learn to play like that?

  • @ChaosDom

Thanks, I really have no idea of how I learned to play this way, I just play.

Now and then I manage to learn a few new notes and licks, haha! I'm happy to hear that you like my style, I never considered myself to be a guitar player, I'm a singer.. :-)

  • How do you know its from 1880?

Anyhow, it surely belongs to the right one!

  • @DanskeSange

On this one I know for sure it's from the 1880's. I got it from the grandson of the original buyer! :-)

A man in his 90's or so..

He thought it over and figured it must have been bought during that time frame..

Otherwise they're sometimes marked/stamped with a year. If not there's details to bee noticed and compared with other guitars.

These looked pretty much the same from 1880 - 1925.. Low budget German or Austrian made mailorder catalog intruments!! :-)

    I just LOVE this tone!!

  • Ah, i see. I also think the tone is awesome from what i can hear in the video. Happy new year!

  • Cool-looking & sounding French (?) romantic guitar.

  • the cool things about these really old guitars that still play good after a few fix ups some of these being from 19th or even 18th century is that you know they must have one heck of a story behind them no telling the classical virtuosos that have played the guitar you are playing now

  • Man if I had a guitar like that I would never get any work done.

  • @Willinthehall

Hehe.. Sure is fun to play it!!

  • I have the same guitar!! Only have nylon strings on, but now I'm tempted...

  • hey man do you know where i can find one of these?

  • Hey!

Sure, search eBay, there's always plenty of old parlor guitars for sale!!!

  • the blues came from german guitars.

they dont make them like that anymore.

    and over 100yearold tonewood.

    Try some silk strings BottleneckJohn.

  • Or American guitars made by European immigrant luthiers.. Martin, Larson Bros. etc..

The tonewood in these oldies are amazing!!

Never tried silk strings, will do that some day!

  • Is great you found it, is in good hands now

  • Thanks!!

    It's found a good home I hope..

  • I have a parlour guitar with no name also, my grandfather bought it used in 1930 I'm thinking of haveing it restored.

Yours looks great, and sounds way better than most old guitars around .......nice find.

  • Thanks, it was a nice find, I think it looks and sounds cool!!!

  • Thats a nice guitar. I have one which is very very similar... No name on mine either. Love the sound from those guitars.

  • Sweet, man. Love that handlebar mustache bridge.

Now I'm curious what these would sound like with the original gut strings...

  • Thanks!

I've got these with nylon strings as well and they sound quite ok, I like them best with 0.10's steel strings though..

  • It's looking like you have quite a collection of guitars and a marvelous way of bringing them back to life. Keep em coming~

  • Hey Erica!

    I'll keep'em comin' !!!!!!

  • Fantastic !

  • Thank You!!!

  • great that you've been able to give a new lease of life to this sweet bluesy sounding guitar!

  • Yeah, that's a good hobby!!

There's so many broken instruments around..

  • where do you get all these vintageguitars from?

  • They are everywhere, you just gotta know where to look! LoL!

  • I have three vintage Hagstrøm guitars but it would be nice to have one of those Levin guitars too....

  • You nursed that wise old stallion back to health. That things a real beauty!

  • Thanks Konner!!

Yes, it feels good to have it back in playable order again after like 50 years or so, LoL!
