goronpaul2012 I would think you would be more informed in regards to the candidate you support. I don't have anything against Ron Paul. I think he's very intelligent, articulate, and admirable. I just don't agree with many of his stances on issues. Registered Rep., Dem., Liber., etc. have the right to vote for candidates regardless of party affiliation. Like Bill Maher I do not completely agree with all of Obama's policies, but it's between him and McCain and I'd be much happier with Obama.
Bill Maher started out saying Ron Paul was the best. He used to be a libertarian. Now he's completely flip flopped and claims to believe that Obama's going to help American get out of its troubles. Knowing the amount of mainstream media time this guy gets, someone's obviously paying him a bomb to support Obama cos it couldn't be cos he believes in his policies.

The uninformed voter listens to media bias, see's people like letterman & maher criticize McCain, not Obama, and it sways their vote. They decide that's all they need to hear, which is ridiculous. If he wants to become the owner, then he will need the license. Then Obama/Biden/&friends say they don't know any 250,000 plumbers?
I'm glad he denounced his acts and everything, but Ayers is in a recent magazine stomping on the US flag, saying "guilty as hell, free as a bird" and that he wished he bombed more. Ayers is unrepentant of his crimes. Obama should let everyone know the full extent of their relationship & needs to admit the mistake of associating with him. His refusal to do so disgusts me and causes me not to believe him. Would you shake Ayers hand? Would you let him endorse you in any way?
Maybe I'm racist that I'm disgusted Obama can't even come clean about representing ACORN as a lawyer, for giving them $800,000, or that a week ago he had on his site that he has NO affiliations with ACORN whatsoever - now, it's purged. He tries to lie at first, then when caught he doesn't mention the important truths. NICE, if that makes me racist, then you've just proven that liberals will do anything to make excuses for their messiah. He doesn't have ANY flaws huh?
wow, joe the plumber is not a plumber?!?! that is pretty insane!!! did you also know that mc cain quoted that he spoke to joe the plumber...turned out, he just read about him!!!!
is that who you want for president? fabricating stories and making us believe it like we are a bunch of idiots!!!!!!
I don't think anyone does any "vetting" in the McCain campaign - they have too much class for that - something the Obama camp could take a lesson from.
You have nerve implying such nonsense about those working for McCain. Let's just say I have good inside info from a friend who works in my local U.S. Attorney's Office there are people working for Obama's camp that will be wearing pin stripes in the near future - and their initials are F.R and J.J. Keep watching the news.

Thank you, Larry King. You helped expose Bill Maher for the idiot he is. Larry, I will personally mail you a thank you note. I hope the execs at HBO were watching this.
But be preared Larry...Bill knows you're Jewish and he'll start trash talking you because he knows there's no way you're really going to pull the lever for someone who really won't support Israel.
white folks love..michaeal jordan, tiger woods, wanye brady, denzel washington and they eat fried chicken, lust after african american women. listen to rap and the blues. And some still act afraid of African Americans and hate Barack Obamma!!!! Dont want an african american man the face of the USA. But your comfortable with this idiot Bush! Wow!!!!!!!!!!

Obama's father was african and of the muslim fatih. That doesnt make him a bad person nor a terrorist. Your probably a thirty-something man living at home with his mom still breast feeding.
Watched the interview couple of hrs ago.I've only recently begin to like Maher,He is reeking in cynicism however. and I suppose has every right to be considering the mess the USA is in these days.Obama is a very bright individual.I think as a Canadian we prob don't see color as much.he's articulate charismatic, and reminds me a lot of JFK way back when(Obama that is, not Maher)I thought the "comedy" routine ws fine and much needed. Can't deny the racism card has already been played though. sad.

Obama doesn't make mistakes? LOL what do you call Ayers and wright? Which is worse.. Taking 20 years to realize Wright is racist/unpatriotic isn't a big mistake? It took Opera 2 years to leave his church. Lying about his relationship with Ayers and his connection to ACORN isn't a mistake? If McCain had these controversies, he would have had to withdraw from the race. Media bias = brainwashing us. This race is closer than it seems. I've lost all respect for Letterman and Maher.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Sure the little people will gain money, but that's selfish. During a recession, you don't want to raise taxes. You have to dig yourself out first. Obama wants to promise lowering taxes all while proposing all these fantasy plans? Let's be realistic.
To clarify, Joe the plumber doesn't need a plumber's license. Look it up! He still does plumbing work, but he doesn't need a license to do what he does. Maher is so full of crap. Obama will keep the American dream down.
Don't vote for the guy you want to have a beer with? Obama is obviously the one hyped up into a superstar. How about we vote on someone that's qualified to be president, not someone the media has turned into their questionable messiah. Obama is a great speaker, but there's nothing saying he'd make a good president. Raise taxes for businesses and they have to fire people from that 95% Obama says he'll cut taxes for. Not to mention, it destroys our economy.
Actually, I'm mixed like your boy obama - so you see, I can't be racist. I'm racist for considering the fact that Obama doesn't have any experience? I'm racist for thinking Obama is a moron for taking 20 years to denounce Wright only after it gained public attention? I'm racist that I'm disgusted by Ayers for stomping on the US flag, saying "guilty as hell, free as a bird" in a recent mag & acknowledging Obama downplays all his relationships? If he told the whole truth once, i'd leave it alone.
i'm for Obama...none of you is racist for raising queries and doubts about any candidate. Please feel free to criticize Obama's policies with your rationale, facts and evidence. However, re: Ayers, unfortunately many senators have past relationships and associations with organization like KKK. Does that make them racist? It is true on both sides of the aisle.
Sure there are many problematic relations with a lot of politicians. The two that matter right now are the ones running for president. McCain has been truthful and will always put his history on the table. If you can't be honest about known facts in your background, you can't expect people to trust you. The problem I have with Obama's associations is that he has been hiding the truth. That's what angers most republicans. We can't trust him if he's unwilling to give it to us how it is..
Well, he didn't say he's never seen him. He admits to being on the council with him. Also I have to point out that yes, McCain puts his record out there, and then he claims to be different than the current President, when it's pretty obvious he isn't a whole lot different on policy. I doubt Republicans would be satisfied with Obama's answer, unless it were an admission of guilt.
Videodrone - Oh, I agree that he's been with Bush on many ideas. But McCain wasn't president. His record is much different than Bush. McCain has a strong record of reform and willingness to go against his party. Obama is an extreme leftist and has agreed 97% of the time with his party. Democrats have control of the House, they haven't done anything for our country recently either. You see, while I admit McCains flaws, people are defending flaws in Obama that we'd criticize our own associates for
McCain's record WAS different 8 years ago(or even 4years). He has changed on what he has stood for to get the Christian/Conservative vote. That is the truth! He hasn't been a "Maverick" in years!!
He had to change his views to get the conservative vote! He's never really been one to advocate "pro life" but he had to step up to the plate to get the vote!! He never liked Bush's tax cuts, but wants to extend them now!! Why? To get the votes!
All I've ever been asking, is for people to learn more about Obama, acknowledge any controversies that arise rather than turn the cheek in fear that it may damage their messiah. That's it. I respect anyone's opinion as long as it's based on research and not media bias. So, if you've decided on Obama because you've researched both men, I commend you. Unfortunately, many people don't know a thing about either candidate and it's disheartening to think that they're voting.
He put on his site that he didn't have any affiliation with ACORN. A couple days later, it was purged. Now he claims his only connection is with the justice dept. He doesn't mention that he was a lawyer for other cases. He doesn't admit giving them $800,000. He doesn't admit training employees of ACORN for organization. These are all facts that everybody should know. They should know all about his blurbs for Ayers book. He should admit associating with an unrepentant terror was a mistake.
As far as his plans.. how can I trust him, if he couldn't keep his promise while running for US senator? He promised he'd lower taxes for the middle class, yet he didn't introduce one piece of legislature to follow through. He did, however, raise taxes 94 times. I can accept and expect mistakes in careers, but Obama doesn't have a long enough resume to validate his mistakes. What about his opposition to offshore drilling?
After adamantly opposing it for all of his campaign, he recently collapsed and included it in his energy plan. It took him this long to realize we need domestic oil to get off foreign dependence? OR, is he drilling for votes? It's terrible either way. Just like it's horrible whether it took him 20 years to realize Wright was racist/unpatriotic or if he knowingly sat in the pews for 20 years. It's nice he wants to lower taxes for 95% of us, but let's be truthful - he knows it's where thevotes are
What he isn't telling us, is that raising taxes for the 5% that matter for our economy will be devastating during a recession. Businesses are the ones contributing to our economy. People will always be willing to work, but if you increase taxxes for business, they will fire many, many people to make up for that. Prices for consumers will also go up. Does this sound like something we need during a recession? Sorry, but I'd rather strengthen our economy than receive a handout.
trickle down econimics have NEVER worked! Reagan tried it....we had some of the nations worst economics from 87' to 93' as a result from that! I think it looks like it makes sense on paper, but hasn't ever work since the concept was introduced!! Sorry but it hasn't! No likes to pay taxes but it's revnue to the US!
Then we have what I deemed, "Obama world." Where you can promise promise promise, but somehow keep people from thinking about the consequences. Again, during a recession would you want to spend spend spend? Obama's addition in spending would cost us the most in the history of one presidential term. It's nice people are captivated by hope; but the fact is Obama will not be able to follow through, or he will have to raise taxes for all of us, like his history suggets.
thank you Bill Maher for saying what we all saw. We really love Bill and Hillary Clinton, but for what is such an important time in this country; such an important election - yes it is true the statistic that Sen. Clinton has campaigned more for the Obama, the nominee, than any other runner up in the history of US presidential elections, or just Democratic primaries - but we see that it simply is not enough. I think combined they've campaigned for Obama about 15-17 times since she conceded. Sad

I know Maher is trying to be nice to the blacks on this one, but you can't help but wonder if he's being sardonic when he says that Obama has never made a mistake. Either that or he believes that Israel is the 57th state of the US. Don't get me wrong, Maher would probably be just as much of a stumbling wreck without his teleprompter. But when was the last time this comedian looked so reserved? Talk about the Bradley effect.

Hey RhondaDavis,
I don't think anyone does any "vetting" in the McCain campaign - they have too much class for that - something the Obama camp could take a lesson from.

Palin -Joe Da Plumber
His 130 plus lobbyists running his campaign
Rick "I'll take my 15k now" Davis
Senator "CNN Ace of Spades" Graham
All the mixed messages sent by his campaign, all the telegraghing of strategies.
The worst run presidential campaign in american history
I DON'T WANT THAT KIND OF INCOMPETENCE RUNNING THIS COUNTRY, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

elperverto7..you sound like a "NEW FOOL"! Obama is friends with terrorist? And I bet you believe in the Boogie Man too! You sound more like Jethro Bodine.

Not to mention, it destroys our economy.
lipidfats 3 years ago
You are the kind of racist asshole who shouldn't be allowed to vote. Obama is friends with terrorist? Stop watching Fixed news
elperverto7 3 years ago 2
Actually, I'm mixed like your boy obama - so you see, I can't be racist. I'm racist for considering the fact that Obama doesn't have any experience? I'm racist for thinking Obama is a moron for taking 20 years to denounce Wright only after it gained public attention? I'm racist that I'm disgusted by Ayers for stomping on the US flag, saying "guilty as hell, free as a bird" in a recent mag & acknowledging Obama downplays all his relationships? If he told the whole truth once, i'd leave it alone.
lipidfats 3 years ago
i'm for Obama...none of you is racist for raising queries and doubts about any candidate. Please feel free to criticize Obama's policies with your rationale, facts and evidence. However, re: Ayers, unfortunately many senators have past relationships and associations with organization like KKK. Does that make them racist? It is true on both sides of the aisle.
Immy1993 3 years ago
Sure there are many problematic relations with a lot of politicians. The two that matter right now are the ones running for president. McCain has been truthful and will always put his history on the table. If you can't be honest about known facts in your background, you can't expect people to trust you. The problem I have with Obama's associations is that he has been hiding the truth. That's what angers most republicans. We can't trust him if he's unwilling to give it to us how it is..
lipidfats 3 years ago
Well, he didn't say he's never seen him. He admits to being on the council with him. Also I have to point out that yes, McCain puts his record out there, and then he claims to be different than the current President, when it's pretty obvious he isn't a whole lot different on policy. I doubt Republicans would be satisfied with Obama's answer, unless it were an admission of guilt.
VIDEODRONER87 3 years ago 3
Videodrone - Oh, I agree that he's been with Bush on many ideas. But McCain wasn't president. His record is much different than Bush. McCain has a strong record of reform and willingness to go against his party. Obama is an extreme leftist and has agreed 97% of the time with his party. Democrats have control of the House, they haven't done anything for our country recently either. You see, while I admit McCains flaws, people are defending flaws in Obama that we'd criticize our own associates for
lipidfats 3 years ago
McCain's record WAS different 8 years ago(or even 4years). He has changed on what he has stood for to get the Christian/Conservative vote. That is the truth! He hasn't been a "Maverick" in years!!
He had to change his views to get the conservative vote! He's never really been one to advocate "pro life" but he had to step up to the plate to get the vote!! He never liked Bush's tax cuts, but wants to extend them now!! Why? To get the votes!
ebbertgepner 3 years ago 3
All I've ever been asking, is for people to learn more about Obama, acknowledge any controversies that arise rather than turn the cheek in fear that it may damage their messiah. That's it. I respect anyone's opinion as long as it's based on research and not media bias. So, if you've decided on Obama because you've researched both men, I commend you. Unfortunately, many people don't know a thing about either candidate and it's disheartening to think that they're voting.
lipidfats 3 years ago
He put on his site that he didn't have any affiliation with ACORN. A couple days later, it was purged. Now he claims his only connection is with the justice dept. He doesn't mention that he was a lawyer for other cases. He doesn't admit giving them $800,000. He doesn't admit training employees of ACORN for organization. These are all facts that everybody should know. They should know all about his blurbs for Ayers book. He should admit associating with an unrepentant terror was a mistake.
lipidfats 3 years ago
As far as his plans.. how can I trust him, if he couldn't keep his promise while running for US senator? He promised he'd lower taxes for the middle class, yet he didn't introduce one piece of legislature to follow through. He did, however, raise taxes 94 times. I can accept and expect mistakes in careers, but Obama doesn't have a long enough resume to validate his mistakes. What about his opposition to offshore drilling?
lipidfats 3 years ago
After adamantly opposing it for all of his campaign, he recently collapsed and included it in his energy plan. It took him this long to realize we need domestic oil to get off foreign dependence? OR, is he drilling for votes? It's terrible either way. Just like it's horrible whether it took him 20 years to realize Wright was racist/unpatriotic or if he knowingly sat in the pews for 20 years. It's nice he wants to lower taxes for 95% of us, but let's be truthful - he knows it's where thevotes are
lipidfats 3 years ago
What he isn't telling us, is that raising taxes for the 5% that matter for our economy will be devastating during a recession. Businesses are the ones contributing to our economy. People will always be willing to work, but if you increase taxxes for business, they will fire many, many people to make up for that. Prices for consumers will also go up. Does this sound like something we need during a recession? Sorry, but I'd rather strengthen our economy than receive a handout.
lipidfats 3 years ago
trickle down econimics have NEVER worked! Reagan tried it....we had some of the nations worst economics from 87' to 93' as a result from that! I think it looks like it makes sense on paper, but hasn't ever work since the concept was introduced!! Sorry but it hasn't! No likes to pay taxes but it's revnue to the US!
ebbertgepner 3 years ago
Then we have what I deemed, "Obama world." Where you can promise promise promise, but somehow keep people from thinking about the consequences. Again, during a recession would you want to spend spend spend? Obama's addition in spending would cost us the most in the history of one presidential term. It's nice people are captivated by hope; but the fact is Obama will not be able to follow through, or he will have to raise taxes for all of us, like his history suggets.
lipidfats 3 years ago
thank you Bill Maher for saying what we all saw.
