  • "I send my scourge; I sent my sword. Thus say the Lord."

  • @demonshade500025 *saith. c:

  • I agree, this song should give the creeps to everyone, not just the devoutly religious

  • @clancybkj

Also symbolizing the drama between two brothers fighting in one masterfully-made song. More of which can be found if you simply browse through the soundtrack!

  • I am an atheist, but admittedly, you gotta love the bible story of the 10 plagues of Egypt! This song absolutely emphasizes it! LOVE IT :D

  • I like Shrek 2 and all, but still, SCREW THE NEW ONE!!! THE OLD ONE WAS GODLIKE, with the exception of How to Train Your Dragon, they finally did something right, but they need to do more

  • I didn't understand why people were making Harry Potter jokes on this song... So I looked up the cast of the Prince of Egypt...

    Mind blown.

  • whoo Voldemort is a great singer :)

  • This soundtrack gave me chills.

  • 0:00 0:52 1:03 1:20 1:38 2:03 2:20

For those that only want the ominus choir singing out the doom :P

  • One of my favorite songs from this movie. the other is "When you believe", and an other is "Heavens eyes." I also like "Deliever us."

  • @metachozoite Well one thing that should be noted is that God doesnt exit WITHIN TIME: Gods existis in ETernity, aka Outside Time("Im that I am" HIS AGE CANNOT BE MEASURED IN YEARS)- Thats the reason he can act in the past, present AND FUTURE. The autor of Gensis says "day" as an aproximation of how "much time took", but the reality is that one day in Eternity can be a thousand, a millon OR EVEN A BILLON YEARS

  • @llemi2kpo funny, when science shows something in the bible to be false, it suddenly becomes a metaphor.

  • Dreamworks, look, I like Shrek 2, Madagascar 1, and Kung Fu Panda 1 and all, but...HOW DID YOU GO FROM THIS? TO WHAT YOU ARE NOW!? Back then, you just annihilated Disney back in 1998, now you keep making less epic movies, with the exception of How to train your Dragon, that was fucking epic, but still, we need more movies like that and Prince of Egypt

  • this song makes me wanna part the red sea

  • This song set up the emotions with these 2 "brothers" how so close they were but due to power one became selfish.....(in the movie I'm speaking)....how u spell EPIC .....this track

  • one of the greatest movies with one of the greatest soundtracks.

  • @MrSlatwob it's not that god is bs but that the bible is very unreliable in terms of what really happened and what was made up

  • @metachozoite there is one flaw with that theory, god is bs.

  • @metachozoite what do you mean though, mr spelling nazi?

  • @metachozoite waht

  • "Thus saith the LORD"

  • You don't really see a lot of movies with powerful music now-a-days (for kids). This movie has powerful music throughout the whole entire movie. I was surprised that DreamWorks made this. Also, if you've watched The Hunchback of Natre Dame, it will also have powerful music, coming from a Disney movie.

  • Ralph Fiennes?!?!?!?! really?

  • With the Pharaoh, I always think of the voice as Ronald Regan... I don't know why, though...

  • Why must this song be so epic?

  • I just picture Dumbldore as Moses and Voldemort as Ramses.

  • Amazing

  • the 9 people who disliked this song will have the plagues set upon them

  • if I have a kid, he goes to CCD or something and they plan on finding a movie to talk about the story of Moses, I'm gonna give them Prince of Egypt to show. It happened before with me when I was younger, and it shall happen again in the future

  • Ahh, Dreamworks make wonderful movies! I love this one the most <3

  • Isn't a wizard a bit of a step-down from a Pharaoh?

    Miguel was right all along!

  • fave non disney movie :D

  • One of my favorite songs in this movie <3

  • "do your homework to this song, you'll feel like a genius"

  • I am also an Atheist, but that doesn't matter. This song is chilling and epic, and both religious and non-religious people should enjoy it for its sheer awesomeness!!! Spare us the religious debate...

  • @HannibalHobbes Agreed!

  • Sorry, I can't hear your atheist arguments over the EPICNESS of the song

  • @RisenAngel17 Grow up.

  • @FrazzleAndTheWolf

    Hmmm......nah, don't feel like it :p

  • Such an epic soundtrack! :D

  • Enough, with the religion debates and just enjoy the Awesome Soundtrack.

  • I'm atheist , but I freaking LOVE the soundtrack from the movie, LOVE all these songs. :3

  • Thus send the sword.

  • @Cheburashka207 ''Thus saith the Lord..'' you prick,......

  • The Exodus is my favorite book of the Bible. This movie is the closest to the real story. I love it. The music is amazing.

  • best soundtrack i have ever heard

  • Very powerful. This and Deliver Us is the best thing about the picture.

  • Who knew Ralph could sing.

  • I'm not religious in anyway, but someone was talking about how Christianity is just a simple version of the Egyptian beliefs. Don't know if it's true, but it's just something to look into.

  • 1) WOOOOOW 2) the ending reminds me of Myst soundtrack music.

  • This song gave me chills.

  • @xYvettexxx same here...one of my favourites from the movie, maybe even my favourite

  • When I was religious I used to love this movie. Still do, actually.

  • This song still scares me as much as it did when I was 7

  • I find christian music easier to listen to If I pretend that they are singing about some awesome greek god, back when dieties used to be cool.

  • @MrSlatwob This actually isn't Christian. This took place in the time of the Jews, a thousand or so years before Jesus was born. It's not Jewish music easier. It belongs to its own religion. The religion of epic.

  • @MrSlatwob They were only mythology. So please stop making two things that aren't related sound silly.

  • i wish dream works would stop making 3Ds and make more bible stories again. Those were true and fun to watch :) "for you know better than I...." - Joseph king of dreams. ^_^

  • @Heylilvelvet IM ON!!

  • i have the lion king soundtrack, the prince of egypt soundtrack, i think i got some other disney soundtracks too, but the lion king and this are my top favorite Walt Disney and Dream Works soundtracks together. Hans Zimmer did them both right? Wow :D i love both Tim Rice, Elton John, AND Hans now! XD oh and i didn't know Hans wrote most of the music for the lion king i thought it was all Elton. My bad x) i don't search up singers much... now a days...

  • I have the disc but i like hearing it here

  • Comment removed

  • My nostalgic phase has been present for a few months, and I don't want it to end.

  • "You who I called Potter...."

  • @3people3computers he said You who i called Brother haha but it does sound like it

  • @Taifoon808 Ramases' voice actor is also Voldemort from Harry Potter

  • @3people3computers Still gets me every time I remember that that's freaking Voldemort...

  • @3people3computers roflmfao! that was funny.

  • @3people3computers

a song between Harry and Draco :)

  • Wow, Hans Zimmer also did this song? wow, Hans Zimmer did

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

    Pirates of the Carribean

    Prince of Egypt

and more! wow.... Hans Zimmer might be rich!

  • @3people3computers Please don't forget "The Lion King". This is, in my opinion, Hans' best work out there.

  • Best line in the song

    2:14 <333

  • love this movie so mutch. It's my favorite... maybe beacuse Moses look like my dad, with less beard (y)

  • What are the people chanting about in the song?

  • @Mytheon151 I send a pestilence, and plague, into your house, into your bed, Into your streams, into your streets, Into your drink, into your bread, Upon your cattle, on your sheep, Upon your oxen in your field Into your dreams, into your sleep Until you break, until you Yield! I, send, the, swarm, I, send, the, horde. Thus saith the Lord.
  • Random observation: This song is a part of a movie that's based off the book of Exodus in the Holy Bible (yes I'm a Christian), and yet...there are comments on here related to Harry Potter...and this Voldemort dude. (Never seen Harry Potter before.) This doesn't make sense...someone wanna explain? Please?

  • @burgermainia15 Well, Voldemort is main villan character in Harry Potter, so it's really funny that he sings. :D Since I love both Harry Potter and this cartoon, the fact that he gave voice for Rameses was pretty awsome.

  • @Katarina5636 Ah I see. Thanks!

  • @burgermainia15 the voice of Ramses is the guy who played Voldemort

  • @DarkMagicianGirl247 That's awesome! Thanks for explaining.

  • You who I call Dumbledore

How could you have come to hate me so?

    Is this what you wanted?

But let my heart be hardened

And nevermind how high the cost may grow

    This will still be so

I will never let those mudbloods go

    Thus saith the Lord!

  • @Kerriangel XD That's hysterical!!

  • No matter how loud I play this it's never enough. I NEED M0:00RE!

  • I GOT SHIVERS!

  • ALUCIMAZING!!!

  • This song is too short!

  • VOLDEMOOORT!!!!!!!!! <3

  • I think Amick Byram (Moses) has a better voice musically speaking, but Ralph Fiennes, exceed him by far, on an emotional level. :D Best song in the movie.

  • @Golddoesnotglitter Val Kilmer was Moses

  • @Golddoesnotglitter oh. I was unaware Moses had a separate singing actor. Forget that last comment

  • @deutschbag1000 lol, no problem :)

  • Why does everyone have to argue about religion when the song clearly is about some good old history.

  • Oh, gosh I shiver every time Ralph starts singing, he has got an amazing voice. <3

  • Wow. Ralph Fiennes (Voldemort) plays Rameses, and he can sing!:P

  • @Cooleo299 Pity Voldemort didn't get some kind of musical number. I would have paid good money to see him belting out some tune about how he's going to curse Potter's brains out.

  • @BlackLuna0 omg yes! Harry potter the musical

  • @BlackLuna0 Try the very potter musical. He has a huge dance number with all the death eaters. :)

  • @Spampiglets haha, I've seen it C:

  • The beginning is so low... Its like the egyptian demon choir before the angelic choir sings back

  • hey this my sound bad but............ rameses part was better they should have given more parts

  • i have to make a documentary about the Exodus for my history class. using a ton of music from this movie love it all especially this song.

  • I love the rythym of the music to this song!

  • Why is this music not on iTunes?!?!?!?!

  • all i ask is an instrumental version of this AWESOME SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Look guys I'm an atheist so I get the urge to debate.

But this is a music video. Just listen to the damn music. Its good.

  • @Winterwolf00 u are blind and I pray that u will see the light, I pray that you do or u will be deemed to burn in hell for all of eternity

  • @esmith4646 Oh look. Threats. Won't Jesus be proud?

  • @Winterwolf00 Stop Fighting!

  • @TheWolfsPaw Noone's fighting.

  • @Winterwolf00 and I'm a christian, and this is a music video. I agree with you. Its good.

  • @manxhedghog *hugs*

  • How does this amazing song have less views then crap like Justin Beiber >:(

  • @Spampiglets yes, please, WHINE ABOUT IT, that solves everything right?.

  • @Jakezing Liiitttlle bit harsh there. I'm guessing something bad just happened in your life that has made you grumpy :) Good luck with what ever it is.

  • I'd like to apologize to the replay button for assaulting it. >D

  • you do realise that Rameses' is also Voldemort? I must say he's not bad in singing.

  • @BecomeOneDa So... that means if AVPM ever gets on broadway, Voldemort can play Voldemort if Joe can't :D

  • @mikatheneko

    he would be faaaaabulous XD

  • @BecomeOneDa Is he seriously??? I didn't know that! Now everytime I watch Prince of Egypt, and Ramses does that shout at the end, I'm gonna imagine him going "AAAAAVADA KADAVRAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

  • @BecomeOneDa YOU WHO I CALL POTTER!

  • @BecomeOneDa bald, racist, evil army, fighting CHOOSEN ONE, makes sense

  • @BecomeOneDa WAAAAT?! :O This is... unexpected.

  • @BecomeOneDa OMG!!!! Rameses was Ralph Fiennes O_O!!!!!! Now I understand why I was in love with him when I was younger (despite being the evil guy :D) !!!!!!!!

  • @BecomeOneDa i did not ... awesome ^^

  • Now that I've said my bit, why can't everyone just be quiet and listen to the music? All arguments concerning God and religion aside, this is a wonderfully composed song that should be appreciated simply for its magnificence. No one should be getting their panties out of joint simply because of the history and implications behind the words. If you want to do that, go to a site where that's the point; don't be abrasive and draw others into unnecessary conflicts simply because you want to. Thanks.

  • if only rameses had done what moses said god wouldnt have been pissed off and there wouldnt have been the plagues and every first born son in egypt wouldn't have died

  • To all who debate about religion on this video, I shall say this only once: SHUT UP with your opinions about God or atheism. I'm agnostic myself and am not exactly a fan of religion in any form, however, I find it intolerable that there should be debates about it in a video with only DAMN good music to present. This movie was one of my favorites because of this song so please, quit arguing on this, sit back, and do us the favor of just ENJOYING the video.

  • Everyone please ignore the outspoken atheist and just listen to the epic song.

  • @atheist382 You're the person that just makes other people believe that atheists are the meanest assholes on Earth. Thank you for making yourself sound like a douche.

And for the record, I'm agnostic and can still appreciate amazing music. Please try to do the same.

  • @atheist382 ever heard the phrase " to each his own"? I'm a christian turned atheist, but you don't see me laughing in church when I'm forced to go. Learn some damn respect.

  • @atheist382 Ask yourself then, atheist382: "If there is no God, how can there be life on earth and who created the earth?"

Everything leads to God! He IS real. And if you're gonna tell me that the human came from the ape, then ask yourself "Who created the ape, then?"

You see? You can't say that HE isn't real. He created us, and if not, who did? ;)

    Everything leads to Him :)

  • @0nonamekid False, big bang theory my friend. Learn your physics and biology before preaching that the theory of evolution is false. There is prove for that theory, there is no prove for your "god". History is full of prove that church is the most corrupt organisation on earth. True, that does not mean that god couldn't excist. It just means that the whole "religious world" is bases on lies and propaganda such as the idea that evolution did not occur.

  • @autenmillion And how did the material for the big bang appear in the first place? It couldn't have just appeared out of nowhere - unless, say, God made it. I've studied physics, biology, etc., good sir or madam, and I can say without a doubt that both evolution and God are real. True, history has taught us that many churches or religious centers/communities have become corrupt, but that is due to imperfect man, not God. Proof for God is everywhere; nothing could exist without Him.

  • one of my favorite songs from the movie

  • Its funny how much god supposedly intervened in ancient times, and now he allows so many to starve.

  • @effrin999 He does allow anyone to starve..thats the problem with humans...we blame everyone else for our problems instead of taking responsibility....nobody should be hungry in the world, but we don't care enough to do anything about it...billionaires giving only $500,000 to charity....selfishness is why so many starve...not GOD

  • @brandonmooretv *doesn't

  • a quote from Issac Newton: Atheism is so senseless when i look at the solar system trough my telescope i see the sun alligned perfectly i know this could not have happened by chance

  • I dont want to start another argument either. But hey dude, if u dont believe in God, then dont put on the glasses of judgement and pointless criticism here. What you can do At Least is not to bother or offend people who believe in God.

  • More cowbell!

  • Personally, I prefer thinking that the Big Man in the sky has got everything under control.

  • Comment removed

  • Religious people are the monkeys of society!

They actually think there is an imaginary man in the sky (snicker)..how sad....

What a bunch of uneducated fools...! Atheism is the only way to world peace!

There is no god...There is no afterlife...You are on your own.... When you die, your body will just rot into the ground, and you will become worm food.

This is the truth...Stop deluding yourself with weird medieval superstitions!

  • @atheist382 I honestly do not want to start another argument, but that very attitude IS why atheism isn't the simple source of world peace. I've had doubts of my faith, and the things that they do are sometimes terrifying. But there are people out there in the world who do good in the name of God or whoever! To believe that everything is pointless...we're all just food for worms...I can't believe that. Besides, we won't really know until our own deaths. THAT is the truth.

  • @atheist382 Why would you WANT to believe there is no afterlife? If I thought that, I'd be terrified of dying! Not to mention depressed...And even if you don't believe in God, why must you insist on trying to force atheism on others? If they're happy and not causing trouble, why bother them? And anyway, what are you doing listening to the soundtrack to a very religious movie if you just want to bash it? Seriously dude...get a life or keep your comments to yourself. No one else cares.

  • @atheist382

From one potential atheist to another, control yourself. You sound like an idiot the way you're saying things. Let them be happy with their beliefs, and they'll let you be happy.

  • @atheist382 Dude You sound like a idiot Look Im Catholic and I had questioned my faith before, but at least I dont push him beliefs on other ppl look dude you got to keep somethings to yourself.BTW I love this movie

  • @atheist382 Wow, just listen to the song. Did you really come to this video just so you could attack other people's beliefs?

  • @atheist382

You realize you're not likely to convert anyone to atheism over a youtube comment, right? Considering most people are here to listen to the badassery that is this song, I don't think they care.

  • @atheist382 First of all, why come and watch this video if you don't even believe in what it represents? If the only reason you watched this is so you can post disparaging comments then congratulations you just wasted your time to try and put down people who could really care less. Second you're comment about how when you die we don't go anywhere? Well all I can say is that must be a lonely existence. Lastly, Gods name is capitalized. I hope you will be able to open your hear to him.

  • @atheist382 As a fellow atheist... stooooooop... please...

Dude it's a song from a classic children's movie.. The song is not trying to convert your beliefs or force you to like any specific religion. You come across as a bit of an idiot when all you are doing is bashing religion on a YouTube video of all things.. I may not agree with Judaism or Christianity or whatever, but that doesn't mean I go around making rude comments like that. Just enjoy the music and stop arguing.. please!

  • Ray's voice is beautiful.

  • Does ramesis sing in any other songs? :0

  • I am looking for the soundtrack that is going on around the time Moses turns the water to blood and makes the soldiers panic, its so... strong. Thank you!

  • @Marsupium Found it! If anyone but me search for it, give me a message and I'l link it!
