Wonderful Land is my all time favorite tune, I was 10 when it first came out and we all used to Air Guitar walking through Liverpool.

Yes ok, but what did Wonderful Land mean?

Was it good old Blighty? No it certainly is not (not nowdays anyway)

Was it the freedom capital of the world the good ole US of A?

Or was it his farm or allotment?

Or maybe he didnt like flying and wrote the music just after he touched down and was waiting for his baggage! (Any landing is a wonderful one if you can walk away from it)

Dear Punorss, Hank uses a Vox AC30 amp with celestion twin blue speakers, cost around £900 00, He also uses a procesor with echos from the past by Charlie Hall, an Alesis quad will do the job, and they still come up on the net from time to time pre programed. hope this is of some help to you.

From an era of greater innocence... Hank also influenced Mark Knopfler's guitarist Richard Bennett! You can definitely hear that on Richard's CD: Theme from a Rainy Decade.
