Shut up. Improving your accuracy with a release does not make you a cheap b******. It also doesn't mean that long/recurve bows are better. Each have their advantages and disadvantages. If people who shoot long/recurve bows act like you do then I want nothing to do with them. I shoot compound, but I have shot recurve and they are pretty hard to be accurate with right off the bat. I can now make pretty good groups with mine. I still don't think one is better than the other though.
@bigboijustin You're fucking stupid, maybe the string hurts their fingers, when I shoot my compound I cannot use my fingers. My hands are arthritic and I cannot use my fingers on the string or it will trigger my arthritis, so I'm forced to use a release.
i dont know why people like shooting these machines, i bet they dont even understand the fundamentals of real archery! A 50 lbs korean bow ( IF YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT IT IS ) can shoot up to 280 fps !
@warbowgeeks woow dude a physics of a compound bow is the pully system, so a 50 lbs korean bow has a pull back of 50 lbs and a relase force of 50 lbs and a 50lbs compound bow has a pull back of 50lbs but a release of 100lbs this is caused by the pullys same kind of system of a crain, there fore making a very powerful bow also very efficent
@nightshadao some compound archers can reload in under 5 seconds and i know this to be a fact as i can reload and shoot and arrow in under 7 seconds from a compound and it be accurate
@new9876 bows can cost up to 500 dollars and if u want to go hunting with it the pull back strength has to 30 or up in mn. It can be pretty expensive to
hiya who put this video on coz i know the guy on the left called mel i used to shot for wakefield archers with him i long time ago just wondering how the hell is he let me know cheers from rob
@djsarchery hoyt feels better than mathews to me ive shot both and i think mathews sucks pretty bad the feel was awful and the draw was rough and it didnt shoot very fast but you know thats just me if you dont shoot a hoyt your missing out on alot i think hoyt shoots faster more consistantly and felt all around better so try one
Are we supposed to be impressed that you're shooting 60 yards? I don't get the point of the video? Shooting 180 feet with a compound bow that is spitting an arrow out at 300+ fps...You have a release, a drop away rest, and micro fiber optic sites...Uhmm! Move it on back about 30 yards, then ill say throw you a bone....
Prodigy, 60 yards with these new bows isn't really that big of a deal. Now 10 years ago when you were getting about 230- 240 feet a second, with 50% let off at best, it was impressive!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Also, in response to your comment "Couldn't hit the target at 30 yards". Prodigy, my first pin goes up to 30. Shooting a PSE Mach X at about 290 ft/sec, with a 380grain arrow, a trophy taker full conceal drop away, and Truglo micro adjust .019 sight...Now where near the top of the line set up, and my 3rd pin is at 60 inside a paper plate all dayyyy lonnnng.
I can consistently hit the bulsey at 100 with a PSE nova II Took 3rd place in a archery tourney in Oklahoma. All the others had similar bows with the big stabilizer and precision this and that. What a waste
thats kinda why you dont hunt with them. theyre for target shooters. they just make you hold steadier without having to have more weight on the end of your bow
agreed. Its more natural for me to shoot with traditional one. WIthout those aim facilities and stuff. Medieval archers didn t have in fact, and they were wery good at shooting.
im 13 and i use a hoyt trykon sport that i bought for 350 after other stuff i was up to almost 500, and i beat 30-60 year old people at my club that are known as good, and im the only kid ever there to get a perfect score, but thats at 20 yards and 30 shot
That was excellent shooting practice at 60 yrds. What type of site system are you using. I have the sure-loc site system. But didn't get a bow for it yet.
I've been using SureLocs for a while now. Love 'em, too. I use a 29mm SureLoc scope with 2X Swarovski lens and a black circle reticle. That system works for me, but the possible combinations is nearly endless.
good shooting, I can shoot 3" groups at 75 yards with my hunting setup, my friend whacked an elk at 84 yards, took about 60 yards and the bull was dead. its all shot placement. keep up the good work.
i shoot a compound, 30 yards, but ive only been shooting for about 3 weeks, i started off with 26 pound, lmfao, but we thaught it was set at 35, but it wasnt, so we put it to 35 pound, (mind you this is the first weekend of compitition ive ever done) and i got 1st place, all i was aiming to get was the target, we where shooting turkey's (3d), so it was kinda hard, but i loved it, definately a sport to get into
hey when you use sights and a release do you have to get a special liscense or something isnt that cheating i garuntee i will out shoot most with out sights and just shooting fingers with a 20 year old bow
YOu do not have to get a license because of the stabilizer and sight. And nom you will not outshoot most people that shoots a compound. They shoot 1400+ out of 1440 points, 290+ out of 300 and 350+ out of 360.
Where are you getting your results from? FITA list 24 people who have shot a 1400 FITA round at WRS competition. I'd imagine the average to be around the 1250 mark.
Just never liked the 3rd axis setup on the ANTS sights. I still have an old Dead Nuts Pro III that I use for hunting and BHFS 3D. Great sight and very well made, as are the ANTS. I just prefer the machine work of the Surelocs and the ability to easily remove the axis block and scope to put the sight back in it's case. ;-)
That's the great thing about ths sport, what ever your like, there is something for you. I have worked P/T in a pro shop for almost 19 years, I've tried them all. Can't say much is bad about the SureLocs, only that I have has less problems with my Evo2 then any other sight I've owned.
The bow on the left is a Bowman AccuRiser. You can tell by the I-beam like riser construction and the pivoting grip in front of the riser. Only bows built like that. Stuart Bowman makes a top notch machine, no doubt. A friend had one with Wedel shoot through cams and we called it "The Conraption"!
Well I would not try it but I doubt a human skull would put up any resistance against an arrow from a compound, recurve or even longbow. The target they are shooting at is actually backed with Kevlar (Material used in bullet proof vests) to stop the arrows from passing through the target.
