Rip Sewell,Cleveland, threw it in the 30's and 40's.Bill Lee (Boston Red Sox) threw it in game 5 of the 1975 World Series.Very effective if it goes threw the strike zone.(remember the srike zone is 3 dimentional,not 2.Anything that hits that imaginary "box" is a strike.

if your a power pitcher and you throw one of these after four or five fast balls in a row that hitter aint gonna hit it unless they are looking for it which they wont be. i was a quailty hitter and i had a pitcher pull that on me and my teammates he would go from 95ish down to 35. this vid did not show a good eephus, a good one stays over your head until the very last moment and it drops down at the plate, it throws everything out of wack for the rest of the at bat its a good pitch if done rite
