Scientific theory has to be testability, observable, and falsifiable. Otherwise it a useless Theory. Then its just a unsupported assumption. I thought Science was about finding explanations about whats around us. Not about the bias of the people looking for the explanations. Sure the multiverse might exist. But Your be waiting forever to find your "evidence" or never find it at all..
Multiverse speculation is oxymoronic and moronic bullshit: by definition, the universe is all that there is, and hence would include these "other universes".
And God help us because there are few freethinkers in this world and few who care about the truth, I worry in the next 50 years that we will all be nothing but degenerates.... Please if you follow any organized religion, realize that it is nothing but lies created by the men in power, who want control of you. Jesus was a real person, with really good ideas, but they twisted his words for their own interests........Your holy books are NOT the truth and it is SCIENCE that is the path to God
If God is real, then I am sure he is disgusted with all the muslims, christians, jews, all the organized religions that twist his "word" and use it for their own selfish interests. Man wrote the bible, not God. Organized religion is all about money, power, control, conquest..... I wish people could see it for what it is.
OMG!! So you made up a theory to debunk and obvious reality of the universe??? What an epic fail. Before you can invoke multiverse you have to first understand why ours is the way it is. I both love and hate you guys. lol!!! You guys are so afraid of the God idea that you literally dismiss it with a preposterous idea. anyway
it must suck to realize that everything believers has been told since child hood is fake. it's one reason superstitious people have to latch on to Science to say "see! we told you that god really exist see science says the Universe is fine tuned. How did people react to finding out the sun was just a sun and not a god.
I love the way any bit of scientific evidence in favor of a "designed" universe (and THAT concept alone can be defined in different ways) and the religiontards RAM proclaim "victory" and absolute certainty for "gods".
But, these same religiontards deny MOUNTAINS of scientific evidence AGAINST conscious creators, demanding an unfair standard of proof from atheists and scientists.
This is so hypocritical! So you can rule out religion, but come up with the idea of the multiverse which just happened to have a verse with over a 100 perfect variables to support life? And this was all caused by LUCK?! Not only is this the most hypocritical answer by the scientific community but I find it to be so embarrassing! Even without involving religion, this is just pathetic lol...
Imagine a puddle waking up one morning and thinking, 'This is an interesting world I find myself in, an interesting hole I find myself in, fits me rather neatly, doesn't it? In fact it fits me staggeringly well, must have been made to have me in it!'
So, it's not okay that everything could be fine-tuned for the beginning of Earth, but it's totally rational for all the conditions to be perfect for the genesis of a Multiverse? That's not true to itself, gentlemen.
@The5thAmendment Conditions do not need to be anthropically fine tuned for a multiverse. Conditions can be whatever they are, resulting in different laws of physics defining the shape of each "bubble" of a multiverse. Cosmologists are not giving definitive answers like "It has to be a multiverse and here's why..." Rather, they are exploring and reasoning out some possible explanations for how everything can be 'just so' here, and other paradoxes. Arguments in this comment forum are premature.
@MrVirtualparticle I stand corrected, concerning the point you made about cosmologists not proposing said possibilities as definitive answers. I didn't take that into consideration, as many scientists of this "school of thought" seem to speak of it in no uncertain terms. All the same, I concede to you implication: no one has claimed this as falsifiable Science.
Fucken Religion has nothing to do with this. People should keep their stupid fucken superstitions their selves. Faith has nothing to with science or material dialectics. And science is not trying to disprove religion. God simply does not exist and to try and prove it doesn’t exist is unscientific. We don’t need any of this horrific backwards religious fascist Christian garbage here keep go to a fucken religious YouTube channel you fucks.
@dillinger9999 Wow, you seem like a man who supports opinion. If so, why do you attack other opinions? At this point I don't even claim it to be an opinion. I find it funny how much of a hypocrite that you are lol. I guess you believe in luck,, and that everything just fell into place =D yea I like that scientific explanation! Close minded? I think so :)
@TheAnimeStop I dont support opinions, they mean nothing, 1+1=2 thats not an opinion. you cant argue truth 1+1=2 superstitions and opinions u can argue. & i have not picked you out and attacked you if you wanna believe in superstitions then do it dont fuck with me about it troll. you must feel compelled to attack me for outing a horrible backwards fascist religion that has killed millions in the most horrendous ways, and still continues to murder people to this day. so get your facts rite troll
@dillinger9999 Troll lol? I don't see how I'm trolling? You're the one cursing off an entire community of people, for no reason at all. So I'm guessing all the people brutally experimented on was perfectly fine right? I mean hell it was in the name of science right lol? You're a complete hypocrite kid, you should probably understand the good in both. Can't dispute that science has done much good for people, and same goes for religion. You talk of facts, so how about realizing that it is a fact
@TheAnimeStop U should look up troll its you picking me out and telling me whats what that's trolling. I made a blanket statement, religion is old backwards it ruins everything. it hold humanity back from everything, how many people were burned too death by the church for even suggesting the earth revolved around the sun. A none earth centric universe. & i don't believe in anything it either is or it isn't, i understand that 1+1=2 i don't believe in it, that's just not a way to say it.
@dillinger9999 Btw I wanted to get something strait about the "opinion". It can be obtained by researching existing information from various sources, just as a theory. But a theory is much more in depth, so I apologize for my misuse of vocabulary (sure you won't understand either way). So, depending on which theory you believe, whether its the "multiverse" or the "grand designer" (religion) is entirely up to the individual. Stating one is right and not the other is very hypocritical
@TheAnimeStop an opinion is just that & nothing more & is baseless, thats why if you say something like "in my opinion so & so should be shot" so its baseless if you dont say "my opinion" then you have a chance of getting busted for a death threat, its a crap example but thats my point. and religion is not truth its based on a belief, superstitions, and faith it means nothing in terms of getting at any truth, its in our genes to believe, early humans developed it becuz it helped us with servi
@TheAnimeStop survival. the world is a big bad scary place and some civilizations make up gods to get them through things they cant understand like a sun god or cloud gods sea gods every civilization on this planet has a god its inherent, in our genes, that proves there is no god. im a skeptic thats what science is its being skeptic & its baseless to even argue belief in superstitions. its a waist of time & trying to tell some one who is superstitious is like trying to tella child there no santa
The question,' Where does it all come from" only applies to material things, since we don't know of any material thing that is not contingent. God is not necessarily contingent. This is a question that arises when you imagine that material is all there is. It defines one of the borders of science. Without faith, science can form no dialectic. It doesn't answer why or who questions.
@malakiblunt If God comes from something then that God is not really God. God is something that can be created. Created Gods are by nature a delusion.
LOL..when Intelligent design slaps science in the face. science just MAKES UP another unsubstantiated unfalsifiable "theory" to keep a designer out of the picture.
And then they discredit creationists for believing in what they call the unsubstantiated unfalsifiable belief in a God
I love the hypocrisy
Not only does cosmology prove a designer. but within 20 years or less DNA will also. ENCODE is finding a staggering multilevel system of overlapping codes that are coherent from many sequences
The problem with the "designer" hypothesis is that it's not parsimonious. It leads you right out the door of science and into inane questions that fulfill only the most religious minds with satisfaction. The multiverse is not only elegant, but it has the thrift and simplicity that cannot be ruled out scientifically. The mathematics and physics allows multiverses to exist, much to the dismay of the proponents of fine tuners. The only way fine tuning wins is to rule out multiverses.
It's fascinating that the "multiverse" was proposed solely to explain away the evidence of fine tuning. Truly, this is Atheism of the gaps!
