No, you don't set it to day light. You set whites to white. Hence the term white balance. He could then grade it warm or whatever. Of course there is no law saying this, he could have made it look green and that's his choice. Whether it's the "correct" way or not.
Nice! Would you mind sharing the settings you used on your D7000 for this? I'm really struggling trying to capture footage at night from the car. Thanks.
@sopimusician666 cant answer u to ur question but, if its a timelapse video he quite sure took pictures, a timelapse video is done by taken i.E every 5sec a picture, and "sticking" them together to get an actual video...a timelapse video can not to be compared to "fast forward" as it "visaully" shows more happening in less time then a normal-recorded video...hope u get my point...sry for the poor english :D
@sopimusician666 Time lapse is a completely different issue its images taken at intervals. But remember if you want to shoot videos get a video cam for 2 reason, 1. For the price of a DSLR you can get a pretty decent video camera, with a lot of professional features. 2. Dont be fooled by the 20 minutes limit all DSLR cameras that shoot videos, its not advisable to shoot long videos on DSLR's the sensor over heats and produces grain after 5 or 7 minutes or so depending on how hot the weather is.
@sopimusician666 Yes, and also for that price you can easily find video cameras now days that has depth of field option also. In post processing if one uses magic bullet blockbuster or cinematic filter. The result is mind blowing, the footage looks exactly like as if it was shot on a professional high end video cam and gives you the exactly feeling as watching a real movie in a cinema.
nice music choice but how can you not tell us what your settings were -.-

@digitalwolves I'd agree with you. Also proper video cameras have CCD's so you don't get that vertical sensor lag with CMOS.
