I'm a fan of V8s. That said, I've never bemoaned the Wankel Rotary, only its implementation. It never struck me as any good on the street, especially when gas prices began to matter again. An engine as big as a compact's engine, that isn't as powerful as a V8 or even a Turbo-4, but downs gas faster than a V8 running hard, is a problem. But the Wankel is really a near perfect racing engine. But I'm looking at the VROC Engine by Vengeance Power as a possible improvement.

The carbs could be gutted and just act as throttle bodies, iv seen this with weber dcoe on a race car a few years back.

@theapothem1 Lol, you ever heard of throttle body injection? Chevrolet invention. Amazing tech for the late 80's, and high-tune chips are cheap. I'm going to be building a mid-70's Malibu or Nova with a T.B.I. 5.7L SBC (350 c.i. small block Chevy).

I just tuned a TWM unit(not mine) on the new 2012 ford 32-v crate motor (the one on the new mustangs but w/o the supercharger, 10.5:1cr i think) The long block only cost about 8 grand and with the TBI its a beast, dynoed at 545 rwhp. Its hp kept climbing at 8krpm too. TBI is great. So post some SBC pics in between bong hits if u can.

@bostonguy01 It depends... In my opinion 3 rotors (Cosmo) use more fuel than a 2 rotors (rx7), but that could be wrong... by the way the Cosmo is more luxurious than the Rx7 (Indeed "Eunos" is the sector that produces the most luxurious mazda cars, like "Lexus" for "Toyota") ;)

surprisingly. the EC is not for sale, or exportable to the U.S... as there were only a small handful made by mazda. believe it or not, the EC was the first car in the world to have a touchscreen nav. system!

Comments are welcome...I can understand where you're coming from but I think having at least one Eunos Cosmo out there as a dedicated race car is a great idea...It showcases the potential of the EC and its 20B!

This EC is really unique and I think it's an awesome racing machine...I hope this unique EC survives forever...It sounds like no other car!
