@Sinclairelim Quite correct, especially seeing as no one in the bible gets called Lucifer, indeed in the Old Testament the word didn't even exist as it's latin, the Roman name for Venus when it shines as a star in the morning. The only entities that get called anything like that are a Babylonian king nicknamed Helel (Hebrew name for the star) because he shines brightly, but only for a short while in Isaiah. The other is Jesus in Revelations where he's called the Morning star.

Lucifer means "light bearer." Where in the scriptures does it say that Lucifer and Satan are the same being? I read a passage about a "Prince of Tyre," but not an angel. There is a Satan in the Bible, who works for God in the Old Testament, and turns against God in the New Testament. Lucifer was an ancient Roman deity associated with the Morning Star, as is Jesus (the Morning Star) in the Book of Revelation (Venus).

I think that identifying Lucifer with Satan is a made up Christian idea. Lucifer means Light Bearer, Morning Star, and you must understand that when Freemasons identify themselves as Lucifer they do not mean Satan, they mean someone carrying light, or bringing spiritual illumination. You equate this with Satan, but occultists do not equate Lucifer to Satan.
