Thank You this has to be the most simpliest way to make butterflies...I am doing my daughters babyshower and the them is Butterflies. So I wanted to find a simpler way to make Butterflies to put on the cupcakes. Now approximately how long does this process takes? Because I believe will need to make about 50-80 butterflies and want to know if make them days before the babyshower would it be ok and how or where should i store them tell the night of the babyshower?
What 'modelling' paste is used for the best effect? I've been recommended to use a 50/50 mixture of Regal Ice and Flower Paste. But am concerned that this won't set hard, or that the heat in the summer may soften this back up again. Could you advise please?
@Guineepoohs using flower paste should guarantee that the butterflies hold their shape. Using modelling paste should suffice but you are right in that during the summer months this may well lose its shape. The design in the video was worked with sugar florist paste.
@craftcompany Ohhhh thanks SO much for your help. Flower paste it is then! Fabulous videos! Do keep up the great work - it's such a help to folks like me who are new to this cake decorating and want to learn the basics. A night class might be the next step, but want to get a feel for it first before I invest any big money, so your videos are brilliant! Many thanks!
