  • I'm a noob and i picked an abus 85/40 it literally took me days/hours :D but the security rating is level 8, it says on the abus website last i checked.

  • @exogen You can't find the X10 locks in switzerland, believe me, it's hard to find a lock here which isn't a dimple lock. The probably hardest lock I found around here was the abus c83. If you like to send it to me, i'll try it.

  • what kind of tools are you using?

  • goo rob a bank lmfao

  • @lemonlimelukey that's against the codex of lockpicking

  • I mean no disrespect, but why do you always remove the locks from the view of the camera in your vids? I don't know much about lock picking, but some of the ways you handle the locks look like slight of hand rather than fast picking. The amount of time they are off the camera looks like you could open them with a keys and fake fast picking.

I'm getting interested in lock picking so I'll be watching many vids including yours, this was just something I couldn't get out of my head ^^

  • Hey, sorry I didn't notice the comment.

That's because it's very hard to film, and pick the same time. I have to look through the display of my camera, and look that I don't get out of the sight with the lock while picking, so I fortunately would have to pick while not actually looking at the lock, but instead on the screen, but the resolution isn't that great, so the hand-eye coordination gets fucked up, that slows me down, so I position the lock and pick while looking at the lock, not screen.

  • you could easily get another one lock which is already open

  • @trampxxx666 ???

  • well, first respect! this is really fast but anything texted is not quite right: the guys below are right: it is nowadays(!) a pretty medium security - maybe No9 a 100 ago ;) ...secondly you do not pick but rake the padlock. As far as I have been told the Abus 85/40 got 2 mushroom pins and 3 regular pins...so judge for urself. As well, you could have been lucky with key cut...nonetheless great job!

  • I finally found the statistics for those who wanna know, the lv 9 padlock shown here is actually a lv 7 on ABUS official website, which is still quite impressive for a lock of this level to be picked as fast.

  • No, this actually have lvl 9, it's written on the original package. I don't know why it's written on the abus homepage, maybe it's another version. But I did'nt think that the orignal package lies.

  • The 85/40 padlock is for low to moderate security. I'll send a Private Message to show you a link to it.

  • hell naw i would of gotten caught

  • What???

  • hi can a 5 pic set open padlocks and some doors ok i have got some one

  • Yes

  • i never tried but looks simple enough... u just push down the pins and turn with the tension wrench, right??

do u have a tutorial or suttin??? thanx

  • Yes, that's it.

You can't write a tutorial for this, but I can recommend you a good book about lockpicking, it's called: Visual Guide to Lock Picking (2nd Edition)

You can buy it at amazon for about 16 bucks.

  • Does the ABUS C83 have any security pins? I have one here and just started lock picking, so it would be good to know.

  • Yes, there are security pins in it, I think they are mushrooms, but i'm not shure.

  • I finally found the key to my lock and it has 4 spool pins and 1 with a ridge at the top and the bottom (never seen that before).

  • The official website says:

Precision pin cylinder with mushroom counter pins (from 30mm)

  • oh, and whats the red light thingy that reflects on your pick??

  • On my camcorder, there is a red LED for showing that the camcorder is recording, forgot to turn it off...

  • what are shims for?

  • what happend to the thumb.....lol... playing with those bump keys again...lol.....it sure hurts to smack your thumb with a bump hammer huh.. ? lol

  • I practiced a little bit with shims, and they cut me...

  • that's pretty nice...

  • It has 7 out of 10, not 9:

    Check it out in Abus

  • Sure? On the package is written 9 out of 10.

  • haa hhaaa hhaaa!!!!:=)

  • for me it would slow me down!

  • whatever works best for you@:)

  • yes, that is the most important thing :-)

  • why use a tulip tension wrench when it is not needed? Its made for if there a door handle in the way of a lock so a normal tension wrench would be blocked... here its not even in a door therefor its not needed.

  • I don't know, but i can pick cylinder locks easier with this tension wrench, so I used it.

  • yall are cute now if you made a how to on all thease loocks I would be impressed but as of yet I'm not learning to pick anything raises eyebrow whats a girl gotta do to have a little fun???

  • wieso nimmst du so ein dummen spanner? :P

sonst ganz cool das vid :)

  • der ist nicht dumm, der ist gut :)

  • Hi Skystalker, schick mir mal bitte deine ICQ per Nachricht hier im Youtube ;-)

  • You use way too much tension and it looks more like you are fighting against your own tension wrench then pushing down the pins.

Try to use as less tension as possible and then pet the pins down really slightly. Youll see, thatll increase speed and workflow! 5P for a well made video!
