Nothing to do with Ambala in Punjab..Ambalam in Malayalam and Tamizh means Temple, though is less used word in Tamizh,(They call it Kovil, Koil etc), mallus still call it Ambalam..
@oilfinder1 Like @varunachar87 said it is "ambalathil aadukindraar" meaning he is dancing in the temple. Ambalathil means in the temple. It has nothing to do with Ambala or Punjab. :) Thillana is almost similar to what you call Tarana in Hindustani. Anandabhiravi is the raagam and the folk version is "Ambalathillaadukindraar" I guess! :)
