i agree that the ending is no good and i wanted to bang my head against the wall when i saw how it ends. Still....i enjoy the rest of the movie.^^;

This movie sucks, the affect of atmosphere and/or score is decent and only when it comes to mysterious, nowhere near cringe inducing horror or suspense. This movie is dumb, the setting and set designs are good to overlay the suspense it wanted to but was lame in the end. I think only little kids would be afraid of this or find it suspenseful, Suspiria is a way better film than this.

@yllnmyntsk well everybody has an opinion i guess, but i why compare this with Suspiria? Yah there might be few superficial similarities, but other than that the two films are going in complete opposite directions in terms of a horror film. Bava is intentionally more subtle compared to the purposely over the top Argento. Both are good in their on rights, but come on man. I think you looking at Lisa and the Devil in the wrong perspective...plus Suspiria is overrated; Inferno is much better.

@filmfanman65 They came out around the same time, I look up older films and these stand out to some. I guess this is the kind of movie, technical film elitists would like, I'm a patient person and though the flow of this film was a bit boring, I still enjoy the setting and overall atmosphere. To give this movie some kind of high prestige, I wouldn't agree, I say its a bit above average in terms of its suspense, nothing too original in its right. Suspiria is just a trip, thats it, it stands out.

Had to chip in. Inferno better than Suspiria. That is just ... not true. Inferno is a massive disappointment. It looks great but its not as striking or half the film Suspiria is in anyway whatsoever. I like Argento a great deal but I think from that period Inferno is one of his weaker films - even if Bava did help out (which is why I guess you like it more than the revered Suspiria). Suspiria is a masterpiece but so is this film in its own way.

a fascinating movie , than is full of haunting styles and images but a plot no one could even attempt to follow!!! just as you get to grips with some thread of plot it totally goes another way, changes characters and the dummy on the aroplane final just puts the cherry on the cake!!!
