My father's (Popoff) and mother's (Kanehan) parents (that's how immigrations spelled their names) and came from the Ukraine in the early 1900's to the United States because they were being killed for preaching the Gospel of our Lord God. While I cannot speak Russian very well I grew up hearing their stories and listening to their singing, without musical instruments, that even now at 63 years old I can understand parts of their songs. Thank you for such a precious memory.
