if you get a jap used import fto are they geard to it like toyota used jap imorts are ? because ive got a mate with a 2.0 celica and that thing wont go over 112 but it accelerates like crazy

All jap imports are limited to 180kph which is 112mph.

These limiters are usually bypassed or removed when they get over to the uk when they go through the SVA test..

Its nothing to do with the gearing its just not had the JDM speed limiter removed.
