taekwondo guy been train to get the stance low and facing side ways. stance that is too standard, fighters knows it. korean competitors are the machines on footwork and stances. in that case, using good footwork, nobody cant get him like this. there is no need to depends on blocking and 1st techniques will missed and there is no point for muay thai fighter to throw combos.

Tae Kwon Do was NOT made for ring combat. Don't know why TKD fighters step into the ring with Muay Thai guys who have been born and bred for ring combat?

Modern day Tae Kwon Do is an Olympic sport orientated around scoring 'points' with strikes. Muay Thai is orientated around knocking your opponent OUT with destructive force. I personally like practicing Tae Kwon Do. But even if I trained 10 years in TKD, it wouldn't make sense to me to get into the ring with a Muay Thai guy and hope to win?

As a practitioner of muay thai, all I will say is that these types are stupid and only good for spectacle fights. Its probably really hot and humid in the arena, so how is it fair that the mt fighter only wears shorts and gloves, whereas the tkd fighter has to wear almost his full gi?

Basically, in a nutshell, this fight didn't prove a single thing.

Problem is TKD are bad at punching or blocking punches. Neither can they bob or weeve, only a bit of parrying. So they are all weak v close range and punches. And tend to go into suicide kicks which makes me PMSL!!!
