I disagree with you popsl, John 5 was easily the best guitarist manson ever had. if you listen to a lot of stuff zim zum did live you'll see he messed up a lot. John 5 and Manson also produced better music together then Zim Zum and Manson did, i believe, and all together John 5 is a better guitarist. Look at his solo album Songs for sanity. Amazing guitar on that album.

Truth. John 5 is an amazing player, the best Manson could have ever hoped for. Skold being in 2nd by leaps and bounds, who is also a very talented player. Rob is credible, but I highly doubt he will have the right rhythm for Skold's solos,etc. And Skold brought some pretty cool sounds to Manson.

his new style is..well, new. :p I suppose this was aphase he needed to go through musically as well as emotionaly, and although it's VERY different from his earlier work and a lot softer and more emotional (which is not really what I want in his music), I have to respect this album knowing the story behind it and the empty place he was emotionally when this wa screated. i have to. He's still a genious and I still love him :)
