  • Hello Again. I need Your advice. I wear mini/micro twists alot and I want to make this spritz to act as a cleansing, strengthening, ward off grey hairs leave in. What powders do You recommend to do this? TIA:-)

  • @ConnectedToMeNow

Hey! I don't think you can use the spritz to prevent grey hairs. I have been using the powders since 2009 and they haven't done anything for me. I would not put a cleansing powder (shikakia, aritha) in the spritz. They are drying to the hair and should be used along with a conditioner. I would recomment amla, bramhi, and maka to strengthen your hair. I have been only using one or two powders in my spritz - so play around with combinations! I hope this helps!

  • @ConnectedToMeNow

One more thing - I have two videos (go to my channel and click on the All Things Ayurvedic playlist) that shows how you can make a cleansing tea to shampoo your hair. It is not mentioned in the vids, bu tmake sure to follow up the tea with a conditioner.

  • @ConnectedToMeNow

ThankYou So Much, I'm gonna make it outta those...

  • @PerfectBeginnings

    Heeeeey! Thank you!

  • making my spritz right now:o) great video!!!

  • @mdloveliness

    I hope you like it!

  • fabulous, i am putting this on my favourites to make once i get those powders!! :) thank you!!

  • @louloumatou

I look forward to seeing what you do with the powders!

  • @NappyNFree i hope i will have time to film, but i am mostly going to be copying you actually! i will do hair masks (adding conditioner to them) and want to make a spritz like the one you made here, i have 2 ayurvedic spritzs at the moment (hairveda hydrasilica and bee mine juicy spritz), when i run out, i will make my own.

  • @louloumatou

I lilke store bought spritzes, but I like making my own, too. One great benefit to making your own is that it can be cheaper and you feel special whipping up your own personal creations! :-)

I am very happy that my vids may help! :-)

  • @IamPeaceIamLove

    Hi there! Thanks!

  • I'll totally try this! I have a question, why brew the powders for so long? Do they not lose the nutrients?

  • @PurpleFairyWings

Hi lady! That is a very good question! I guess I brew the powders for several hours because they weren't produced to be used as a tea. If you read the instructions on each box, it tells you to use the powders as a paste. So, I feel that soaking the powders in water allows me to extract any and all goodness from them.

Now, please know these are my thoughts only and not based on any scientific research. I could be wrong and the powders ARE losing nutrients! :-) I hope not!

  • @NappyNFree I see! Thanks for explaining :)

  • thanks for sharing :)

  • @KinkyLiciouse

You are welcome! Thanks for watching. :-)

  • what's the best aloe juice for you nappynfree? the inner filet or the whole leaf ??

  • @krystlehime

I use the whole leaf juice and gel. The reason? It cost more, so I thought it was better. (crazy, huh? :-P)

That being said, I like it. My hair and face have responded well to the whole leaf.

  • seems like a good regimen thanks for sharing

  • @dkblck1958

Thank you for watching! I really like this spritz.

  • Thanks so much for the video! I think I will make this product for myself!

  • @rainbowbrite621

Hey! If you do, let me know how you like it!

  • Great video. Do you have any issues using a product containing glycerin during this season?

  • @2damnfunny

    (1) Hey lady! Thank you! I follow the advice given by Oyin - they suggested using glycerin-based products before you get in the shower and glycerin pulls the steam/water from the air and then you won't have problems with going out in the cold weather. (Now, I am not explaining this exactly right, but hopefully you get the gist? :-) Anyway, my hair has stayed ubber soft.

  • @2damnfunny

    (2) I have had more problems with glyercin in the summer. It keeps my hair soft and frizzy. Any twist out style bombed in a big way. So, I don't use a lot of glyercin when it is warm out, but I use it to my heart's content in the winter!

  • Thanks for sharing! I'm looking forward to trying this spritz.

  • @msdayle

Hi there! I hope you like it!

  • I make my own haircare products vitamin E is very good as well as a little Tea tree oil :)

    I enjoyed the video!

  • @Noveechops59

Got that, too! Just added your suggestions to my descripton box. Thanks for the reminder and thanks for watching! :-)

  • Excellent video I would add a little vitamin E oil for preservative.

  • @Noveechops59

Great suggestion! I have vitamin E - bought specifically for preserving mixtures - that I always forgot to use!

  • very good VID. my sister. keep up the good work.

  • @luv22beauty

    Thank you!

  • Great recipe! Looks like it has many growth stimulating ingredients. Im curious to know if you refridgerate it due to the aloe juice.

  • @missthis897

Thanks! Yes, I refrigerate because of the aloe vera juice and the tea.

  • Hey there. Thanks for the post. I will definitely try this spritz. My hair is back in mini twists, and I am trying to protect the ends so I can retain more length. We will see :-). Happy New Year.

  • @TheNaturalmystery

Hey lady! I know you will gain much length in 2012!!
