If you are caught in an ambush and you don't take measures to get out of it, thats basically giving up and allowing yourself to be killed. Now there is only one vehicle in this video that is owned by the US military. Convoys usually include several vehicles (4-5). When I was stationed in Iraq, when a situation like this occurred, we would re-evaluate the situation
then make a plan of attack. Not to go "Rambo and kill everything you see. Its much more affective to make a quick plan and carry it out efficiently. The US military works as a team, unlike the insurgents, not terrorists like the video says these people are being shot at. Not to mention, the hood of this vehicle has reflection. All combat vehicles have a type of paint on them that have no reflection for concealment purposes. So the people that you call "pussies" are most likely contractors.
If you were at work, or school, and out of no where some one started opening fire, you would be scared and since you don't have weapons, you are automatically going to find the quickest way out of the situation. Now why don't the soldiers stay and fight? They have orders, and their orders were most likely to safely escort these contractors to and from the building locations. What should have happened was they should have got off the main street alot quicker than they did incase of more I.E.D's but they seemed to have done well in the case of what happened...Were they U.S soldiers? i thought they were private sector people...as they were driving around in unmarked vehicles...when i was their our special forces (SAS) sometimes went out in unmarked vehicles. I especially liked the guy that shouted ''watch out for the VW'' good shit.

For the record, America did not aid you against the Soviets. The CIA made the Soviets invade Afghanistan. It was part of a plan known as Operation Cyclone to bring down the USSR. We would draw then into a Vietnam-style war with the Mujahideen and then we would train the Mujahideen to fight back.
Also, the CIA funneled money through the ISI to Maktab al-Khidamat (MAK) to fund, recruit, and train Mujahideen, under CIA asset Tim Osman (Osama bin Laden).
