That rear gear also brings you to around 75mph @ 3000RPM+. 4.10 gears and bolt ons will bring a mustang of those years to just under 14 sec in the quarter and worse yet full tune and full bolt ons is still only 260-270~ to the wheels. 90s Chevy hits 300 with bolt ons and a tune on an auto. 4.6 is just a peak power, lets-sell-a-lot-of-these motors. Not fit for a muscle car.
@badasspr0ductions the autos they use are not like stock autos on production cars. look up just about any car 0-60 or 1/4 time compared to auto or manual. manual will be quicker 99% of the time. not to mention the fact that you look like a total pussy when you drive an auto sports car.
@blaketheparonite91 I'm not sure what type of kit they're called but it's a kit for sports cars and if your stuck with auto, you can install this kit to where it shifts at a higher rpm.

I've had nothing but Fords and Pontiacs in my family and we haven't had one major problem with ANY of them. My Mustang has had one problem- the brakes seized after it was in storage for six months. Absolutely nothing else besides your standard belt change, battery change, etc. Pontaics have gone through an assload of spark plugs, but not the Fords.

I'm not trying to defend mustangs or civics but why do people keep touting HP/L like it's a big plus? A good weed eater has 140HP/L, so what? A 150HP engine is still 150HP whether its a 1.5L or a 2.5L. It does no good for a 150HP Civic to have 100HP/L when a 500HP 7L with its 71HP/L will chew it up and spit it out.

I don't understand why so many people bash Civics. Most people I see insulting Civics are mostly talking about the driver ('boy racer' or 'ricer'). I agree, what most people do to their Civics is hideous, and the way they are driven doesn't give them a better reputation, but the Civic in itself is a great car. A few tasteful mods and it can even look and sound quite good. It's got more hp/L than either new V6 or 5.0 Mustangs, but I still think there's an immeasurable cool factor in a Mustang. :)

Good race, but the civics are too close to neon territory for me. I tend to group chick cars to neons out of habit. The power to weight ratios of the imports are pretty good i'll have to admit. Speaking of power to weight ratios, check out the 2011 gt stangs- all imports will need turbos to keep up, even on autox.

Most imports manufacturer use the method of "small displacement + forced induction" to compete with "big displacement + naturally aspirated." If they wanted to manufacture a big V8 car, they would build a great car too.

@badasspr0ductions the autos they use are not like stock autos on production cars. look up just about any car 0-60 or 1/4 time compared to auto or manual. manual will be quicker 99% of the time. not to mention the fact that you look like a total pussy when you drive an auto sports car.

@93dajjdg I haven't read any of your comments except the one about Ford sucking, but I figured I'd jump in anyway. I've had nothing but Fords and Pontiacs in my family and we haven't had one major problem with ANY of them. My Mustang has had one problem- the brakes seized after it was in storage for six months. Absolutely nothing else besides your standard belt change, battery change, etc. Pontaics have gone through an assload of spark plugs, but not the Fords.

@DatDooDJuan08 nah man he loves speed. he bought the si as a daily, he gets 32 mpg and when he guns it he still has more then the cobra. his cobra is puttin out 517 and his civic is NOW after a quick shop visit lol 432 hp. he bought it with 213. by any means the si is not a slow car for wat it is man. i have nothing aginst a stang tho, i got an 07 gt. i love it, but i do miss my 35 mpg lol. its not all about power my man, some ppl like civics u just gotta go with it no wat i mean?

I'm not trying to defend mustangs or civics but why do people keep touting HP/L like it's a big plus? A good weed eater has 140HP/L, so what? A 150HP engine is still 150HP whether its a 1.5L or a 2.5L. It does no good for a 150HP Civic to have 100HP/L when a 500HP 7L with its 71HP/L will chew it up and spit it out.

@Warblade118 Most people up here on YouTube don't know their elbow from their you know what. all they know is what they read and usually that is limited to the max hp a car has. They don't realize that hp isn't the be all and end all going fast in a car. Torque is more important, but it's a stat frequently left out of most conversations between fools.

I don't understand why so many people bash Civics. Most people I see insulting Civics are mostly talking about the driver ('boy racer' or 'ricer'). I agree, what most people do to their Civics is hideous, and the way they are driven doesn't give them a better reputation, but the Civic in itself is a great car. A few tasteful mods and it can even look and sound quite good. It's got more hp/L than either new V6 or 5.0 Mustangs, but I still think there's an immeasurable cool factor in a Mustang. :)

So, if the junky american car had equal technology, it should develop at minimum 500 horses, but it doesn't because its JUNK!FAIL

@AgentStyles Noticed you included the Eclipse GT in there. Why don't you try putting american V6 power against that and see what wins. In equal classes the jap stuff blows away american cars. Of course a v8 is gonna beat a v6 or inline 4 but in the SAME CLASS jap rules. My stock Eclipse GT has eaten many different v6 mustangs over and over again. I agree the Mustang GT would win but you need to put cars against their equal not the "best car you like" vs "the other guy's shit cars"

Good race, but the civics are too close to neon territory for me. I tend to group chick cars to neons out of habit. The power to weight ratios of the imports are pretty good i'll have to admit. Speaking of power to weight ratios, check out the 2011 gt stangs- all imports will need turbos to keep up, even on autox.

Most imports manufacturer use the method of "small displacement + forced induction" to compete with "big displacement + naturally aspirated." If they wanted to manufacture a big V8 car, they would build a great car too.
Same can be said to domestics. They can build a car to compete with small displacement + forced induction, if they wanted to. Like SRT-4 for example.

honda owners are stupid (I own a 2008 SI so don't worry) trying to drag race all of the time. Its embarassing. Auto-X and Tarmac Races are a very VERY different story, anyone who has driven an 8th Gen SI knows exactly what I am talking about. Close Ratio Box, LSD, and that Stiff, 55/45 Chassis make for one of the better handling cars around.
