Your sterile technique is wanting. The Vent should have been on the contralateral side of where the vein access is, that way, you minimize contact with the ET and the vent tubing. The sterile sleeve for the pacemaker wire should have been expanded all the way to the 10 cm marker, to minimize further contamination of the pacing wire. You should have had a long sterile extension cord (to connect the pacemaker wire and the pacemaker generator unit) that distances you from the bare handed nurse.

Just wanted to point out to viewers to be cautious with sterile technique as you manage to desterilise yourself at least three times - when you touch the edge of the drapes to move them at the start, when you pick up your gloves with your bare hands and when you touch the ETT/ventilator tubing.
