If God can create the heavens and the earth and part the sea, He can also make the day longer or have the sun and the moon stand still. I am a muslim, but the quotes from the Holy Bible that you talk about actually reminds me of some the verses from the Holy Quran. I think the issue here is the interpretion and/or translation of the verses from the bible and NOT the verses themselves. In short the terms "fixed and immovable" refers to the plates made fixed and immovable by the mountains. The "four corners" refers to four directions; north, south, east and west.

Isaiah 40:22 says the earth is round. Reference to the four corners of the earth in the bible is just a way of mentioning the compass directions. You are not taking into account the vernacular of the people that recorded the bible when you make such clumsy interpretations of the bible. If God can create the heavens and the earth and part the sea, He can also make the day longer or have the sun and the moon stand still. I don't know how it happened, so we must be patient for God's explanation.

I am a muslim, but the quotes from the Holy Bible that you talk about actually reminds me of some the verses from the Holy Quran. I think the issue here is the interpretion and/or translation of the verses from the bible and NOT the verses themselves. In short the terms "fixed and immovable" refers to the plates made fixed and immovable by the mountains. The "four corners" refers to four directions; north, south, east and west.

The Bible says that the earth is round. Science thought the earth was flat until Christopher Columbus. Four corners can be North, South, East, and West relative to the observer. If God stops the earth's rotation, the sun and the moon would seem to stand still relative to the writer's knowledge at the time. Similar to John saying that Jesus' hair was white as wool or snow because he could not describe it as white as a Ford Oxford White Mustang. Serve Christ!!

For the next thing, I still believe that the Bible is the word of God, but I don't have the knowledge or completely understand that verse in Joshua. Like when it says "and hasted not to go down about a whole day." So the Earth DOES move, it just can't BE moved by anyone besides God. For the next thing, Revelation 7:1 and your saying, no there can't be four corners on Earth because it is a sphere. Search "corner" on dictionary 8 c, om. And look at definition #9. Yes, this means a corner is not only what you are thinking of, as in four corners of a rectangle or square. Also, by the example they use "from every corner of the empire" you can see that this definition can easily be applied to the Earth>

I still believe the Bible to be true, but I was reading what you put up here. For the verse "He has fixed the earth firm, immovable." That's not what my KJV Bible says, in Psalm 93:1 it says "the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved." Idk if you have a NIV, but that's a perverted version with about 64,000 less words than the KJV, and is copyrighted by the publisher of the Satanic Bible. Anyways, that verse says "earth cannot BE moved." It does not say "earth does not move" >

What are these "top 5 greatest sins"? I read the Bible everyday and have no clue where you are getting this information from. People do get mad about their faith systems being questioned, especially Christians admittedly, because it's not up for debate.
