I used Adobe Flash, but I wouldn't recommend it, importing/exporting really screwed with the quality. If I did it over, i'd use Adobe After Effects

-the introduction to putting in the main char's name.

-idea with getting items (with having music to it and dissappearing)

Well, I used Flash CS3 for the editing, although it caused some big troubles in the converting process. I converted the SWFs to avi and used Adobe Premiere to do the final cut. Apparently you can do the editing in Premiere but I haven't explored it much. Good Luck.
