Ya' gotta admit, the guy could rip the FACE offa just about ANY E.C. solo on record, from this to Crossroads to any of his other flashes of fury. But HE can do it all day, like it was nothin! (And just about any OTHER major guitar cats too!) I think he just liked doin' it to keep his nails trimmed, (ie, for fun) which is what I LOVED about him. It was so damned EFFORTLESS!! Pretty much their signature TONE as well, if he tried a bit. Reminds me a bit of Chris Spedding, for that partic. talent
@goteyes1 This is about the best I've ever heard Gary play. I am familiar with his material. He seems to be able to play other's material very well. He is a great guitarist but is alittle sloppy,repetative and doesn't know when to stop,meaning he doesn't have the sense of timing, perfect phrasing and structure that Clapton has, who truly makes it look effortless. Jeff Beck has perfect control and technique,Frampton, Derrick Trucks, & Santana all great players.
Gary Moore may not be the original lead singer for this song, but he is still kickin ass. I am not one who really enjoys sloppy seconds, but my man Gary really got it going on. Bravo Gary
@thezepp68 I didn't write that YOU DID I just responded to you saying that they didn't let Bernie Worrell. He probably soloed on another song. I said they don't have to have everyone solo EVERY FUCKING SONG!
THAT IS BORING. Having to sit through 5 solos on every song. pay attention dude.
Jack is back in black. And, by the way, despite the fact that Jack implies the chords very well, Mr. Worrell's playing is a blessing to the guitarist. You'd have to play in a trio to know what I mean, which I did in 1970, almost all of our stuff was Cream-Hendrix covers.
@azkeyz Friend, give em' a break... Jack is pushing 70 years of age. Its a loose cover, and thats what being live is all about... if I recall, that was supposed to be what Cream were trying to reach too.
@seanreillyireland Jack Bruce doesn't need a break from one who expresses utter assholism in that dildoic comment .Nor will Mr Bruce gain anything from winning over the Schmuck vote.
@rdeem25 I appreciate the history lesson since I am new to all of this music and had no idea who Jack is, or his role played in Cream. For this I thank you. I am a recent Gary Moore fan and his name is what brought me to this particular video. Again, Thanks. The more I learn the more appreciation I have for the skill these old bastards have.. unmatched today by almost anyone.
@azkeyz Your comments are what is gargage. This song was cowritten by Jack Bruce, not Eric Clapton you moron. Jack Bruce is the one singing. He has/had one of the best rock voices of all times. What have you done? Oh yeah, NOTHING!
I wish Gary would stop messing around with the blues and get back to his hard rock roots - like with BBM!!!!. And jack Bruce is allways a very powerfull vocalist! Great clip form the Rockpalast-show.
All bands are useless. They are there for enjoyment. If someone enjoys it it serves a purpose. I enjoy this. Whether you do or not doesn't matter so your comment is useless (except maybe for you).
@rdeem25 damn right

the fills are better than his rhythm work, which are really tasty. seems the band is not in synch in several spots. keys should have come out more.

rip dude fuck all the bad comments for Gary he was a class guitarist n an old member of cream actually

The lyrics were written by Pete Brown and All the guitar parts were authored by Jack Bruce.

This is complete garbage and they know it.
Any mistakes on an eric clapton song will cost you for each mistake commited.
you don't screw with eric claptons material. ( you'll get beaten in the parking lot )
I think what stands out as the most disstressing item is the vocals
the vocals are deffinately where the most mistakes were made.
The rest of it is not horrible , prety good actually.

@azkeyz Wow. You're a huge moron.
"Eric Clapton's material"? Jack Bruce wrote this song! It's HIS material.
You're also criticizing the vocals, but Jack Bruce is the one who always sang the song.
If you don't know who Jack Bruce is, he played bass with cream and sang and wrote almost all their songs.
Learn at least a tiny bit about something before you criticize it.

I seen Gary moore (and his band) in 1983. He was opening up for Richie Blackmore's Rainbow.
Just try to imagine that second solo for 60 minutes :)
I am not kidding either...
