  • a very old building withstood a 7.1 and that was 26 stories

  • and other world side getting more warm, cause the material keep world cold temperature

  • god help Japan.

  • I like these projects, but I feel they underestimate the effects of weight in a real world scenario, say for instance, I could drop a toothpick from 6 feet, that would have a considerably less effect than that of a 2x4 being dropped from 60ft. I think this is forgotten in these structure tests. That building is abut 4 feet tall, a standard wall stud would have to be the size of half a tooth pick to even match a realistic scale.

  • @TheRyesick1 this building is full size...... look at the construction occuring

  • MOVE FROM THE HORN OF AFRICA JAPAN

  • i think what this lacks is alot more weight, consider the roof and alot more personal belongings. otherwise great job!

  • They should have put windows in it to see its effects.

  • I want to live in a house like that.

  • What if the rooms are filed with people, pianos, jacuzzi, fish tanks, elephants-sized pets...etc

  • cause everybody has elephants in there rooms with there pianos all inside of their jacuzzis

  • I'm not surprised that wood construction can be very resistant to earthquakes, if it's properly re-enforced. But I wouldn't want to live in a 6 story wood framed building without a lot more fireproofing than most wood buildings now have. Sprinklers won't stop a fire if it reaches (or starts on) an outside wall, and the chances of that happening to a building increase with the number of apartments. Large complexes make the risk even worse.

  • Excellent point. I think 2, maybe 3 floors max.
